Actually read manga for the first time since middle school. It was the Death Note black editions. They where pretty good, a little different then the anime especially towards the end. I'm watching the Relight films now.

The only thing that really threw me off was that every character in that show was bullied in one way or another. I don't think I've ever seen bullying or gossiping at that show's level in real life. Some really brutal stuff. I was surprised the old lady at the bake shop didn't have personal demons.

I'm confused though. Did Mei's dad die or did he just leave her mom?

I think he died. They never really said it, but it seemed like that, otherwise idk why they'd keep pictures of him about the house.

Just watched 5cm per second..

It feels so true to life with the story and resolution. It leaves me feeling a sense of melanchony and sadness, and hapiness.

Death Note is good series. It might not be for you but it's creators released another manga called Bakuman that's about two highschool students who become mangaka in Shonen Jump and aspire to reach #1. The contrast between the series is like night and day as Bakuman is lighthearted with comedy, dialogue, and art.

Well on the anime front, I've started watching some newer shows I've missed, like Project K, Aoi Sekkia, Girls Und Panzer, and Jormungrand. So far really liking most of them, some of em are ehh, can't wait for a number of those to be on DVD, meh I buy them if I like them >>. As to Manga, idk short of a few things I've never been able to get into it that much. Also I found a pretty good review sight and there are some things I might want coming out this year.

Meh least its not costing me much given I've pretty much have given up on gaming.

Double post, I didn't like them all that much mainly as I think on the stuff I watch and it brings out my authortarian nature to ban all time travel and bomb Europe over its partical colliders, and stuff like that, but yeah..

If you like Anime such as SE Lain, and to a more limited extent Ghost in the Shell, I'ld say Steins Gate, and Chaos Head might be something fans of those shows may like a bit.

Hmm I might take alook into that. But anyways, I did find some Manga's to read now. Mainly as I wasn't happy with the craptastic anime endings. Such as Code Breaker, Beserk, and Break blade. (aka broken blade) Might also read Getbackers, see how it matches with the Anime, or vise versa. Maybe black lagoon will get back up and running at some point.

I just haven't cared for, or to read the "big three" at all. Well last few years at least.

Well the Manga I've found is far better than the anime. The anime is more of a foot note with a "wait thats it!?" sort of ending. And the Manga seems to update once a week.

Nichijou is like crack. Happy crack. Really should look it again...that or Cromatie High or Excel Saga or something quirky and fun.

Might want to give Combat Butler Hayate a try (aka Hayate no Gokotu!). I find its about the same of those. Maybe even bobobo. Though Cromartie High School is nuts.

Edit, is a bit long though, with 3 Releases and an OVA. I think a 4th is in the works now.

Yeah I was. I'm really liking that crazy SOB.

I still remember Kumagawa's wtf logic when he ripped off Ajimu's face, because he wondered that seeing his own reflection in her eyes had somehow made her more attractive.
