Ok, sub or dub for DBZ?
I can't speak for the sub, but I found the dub to be enjoyable years ago.
Only voice that every really grated on me was Buu.

Well Goku, Gohan, Bardock, and Goten are all voiced by the same Japanese woman who makes no effort to change her voice in the sub (No disrespect to the voice actress for doing it for so long. But that's something that bothers me, especially Bardock. That voice does not match him at all.).
So it's up to you.
Goku's Japanese VA is awful. Dragon Ball saga is one of the few anime I like dubbed.
And be sure to watch the version that has the Bruce Falconer music.
