I watched the first episode of some anime called Senyuu. It was kinda cool tbh.

Haven't watched as much anime as I would like lately. I think the last one that really caught me was "You are Umasou". That was a pretty awesome little movie...sadly they still have not released it stateside. I really hope to see it localized some day, sure the BluRay would work here but importing is a killer. I want my own legitiment copy Japan, why you let pirates have all the fun!?

What's wrong with Bunny Drop?

1st season? Absolutely nothing.

2nd? Where the guy marries his adopted daughter? That's almost 30 years younger and that he raised?
Words like "sick", "dipraved", "wrong", "insane", "squick" come to mind.

Oh, also, I don't hate you. But mostly I just don't understand what you claim for "actual standards".

You do know what the word standards means, right?

To put it simple, people to whom almsot everything is great have very low standards.

@bmwcrazy, I think that's the first time I've ever seen someone screenshot a whole episode. :P

(don't yell at me, I know it's not the whole episode.)

@Lotion, How about people who try to find something they enjoy in everything they watch? Do they have low standards? I don't think low standards are necessairly a bad thing, but this is coming from a guy who took some sick days from school to watch Bleach back N' da day.

Anyways, I finished Kids on the Slope and the ending kind of caught me off guard. They could've gotten to the point that they wanted to with the ending without doing it the way they did, but I suppose that's the way they wanted to do it. Now I'm watching Bakemonogatari. Gotta say I dig the art style. They're trying a few things that I really enjoy, so I'm gonna continue further with that series.

Though I must say, 30 Rock and Always Sunny in Philly are really cutting into my anime viewing schedule. XD

You mean enjoying something exactly because it's bad? The "So baad it's good" theory?
That works as long as one is concious of the actual quality.

I mean, I love "the Room"...and that must be the worst movie ever made.

I'm going to assume that that's not exactly what he meant. He's probably talking about people who aren't so critical (not a bad thing, imo) that they'll be able to find something enjoyable about a show. Whether it's good or bad is probably irrelevant.

Do enlighten me, please. What are high standards? How to acquire them? You can't define it simply stating its opposite (or worse, the lack thereof).

This I have in common with ya.

Pretty much Reezy said.

FOR EXAMPLE: Even though the plot of Bleach sucks, I do like the character design. Thus, I continued watching it.

And I seem to have been mislead as to the anime starting this season. The previous link was of the *Spring* season. It is not yet Spring...

Here  and here are some about this winter (some very few noteworthy ones. maybe).

I'll definitely be watching Senyuu. Cuticle Tantei Inaba seems interesting enough to check out.

The Room is not the worst movie ever made. It brings people great joy, and there are a ton of worser movies out there.

Thankskilling is the worst movie I've ever seen. I thought it'd be like, bad in a funny way.

Never have I been more wrong.

A Serbian Film(trust me, don't look it up) gets my vote as the worst movie ever made.

I'm assuming that's an obvious pun on Thanksgiving.

Well granted, I'm not big on movies, so you're probably right. All I know is that with movies, I'm really not picky, and that was just horrible.

I mean, even the Human Centipede wasn't THAT bad... okay, it was really, really bad, but not in the same way as Thankskilling. Human Centipede is bad in the disgusting "I wish I'd never watched this" kinda way.

Human Centipede was awful and stupid in a dumb way, like, I think it was trying to be funny? But it really was not.

And then you have The Human Centipede 2, where you know they stopped trying to be "funny" disgusting nothingness and just became disgusting nothingness.

It was, but I mean like, I don't think it was trying to be dumb. I feel like someone legitimately thought it was a good idea. It wasn't, but it was just as awful as I knew it was going to be. Probably a little worse, actually.

Didn't see that one. Watching the first was enough for me.

I find disgusting nothingness interesting. I mean, I like Gantz and all. Though Human Centipede is of another caliber altogether.

Though I hate to admit it, I think if I'd watch THC I'd be somewhat interested even (probably won't though, it's pretty stupid... and stuff).

It started out as a joke made by the Tom Six. So yes, you could say he thought it was a good idea for a joke movie. But he was wrong.

And good don't watch 2,

My mom told me about watching Human Centipede. She was abusing Netflix. >.>

I thought "no way it's that bad". So... I guess I watched it out of curiosity.

They really didn't handle it like a joke though. That's one of those jokes where everyone just stares at you, while a woman in the back tries to soothe her crying child.

It might've been a joke, I really wouldn't know anything about things like that, but they handled it seriously. Or at least that's how I felt. I thought there was just a director with a really twisted sense of what's "scary".

Granted, that is kind of a scary thought, but I digress.

Yeah they sure handled it seriously....

The director is just some stupid guy with a bad sense of humor,  THC2 comes off more like what you are talking about it tho. It is more stupid and gross.
