Haikyuu finished up and it was quite awesome. Not watched many sports anime so far so still inexperienced on what to expect from them overall but since I've done plenty of team sports myself I can at least judge that part. Obviously Haikyuu is making many things super dramatic for entertainment purposes and that's fine since the show also do manage to nail a lot of what it feels like to be part of a team and playing as a team and winning/losing as a team. The animations are excellent, and the characters are all very diverse and I found the growth to be good. A lot of time is spent on forming rivalry with other teams which is a key aspect in sports and the show really put a lot of weight on that. Perhaps a tiny bit too much for most people but I found the rivalry games to be the most fun to play so a bit extra is just good with me. The show got no issue spending several episodes on a single match which might be an issue for some, wasn't for me but it's something to be aware about.

Glad they finally gave some info about who the eff that straw hat girl is that they kept alluding to with flashbacks with no context. For the same amount of time they gave to William Massachusetts' super serious gamer pain.

Still doubting these last couple episodes can bring it all together in a satisfying way tho.

I finished reading the Date A Live spinoff: Date A Origami. It was pretty solid, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I like Origami even more than I did before reading, it paints her in a lot better light. It was really interesting to get to see her thoughts and learn how she functions. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Date A Live.

OP 10 is really good too (well OP2 of Gintama 2011.)

 

But OP13 is still... probably 3rd or 2nd.

 

Especially if you've gotten to where House and I are in the story and know the extent of Gintoki's past.
