Regarding Owari no Seraph; I read some comments from people who've read the manga and the consensus seems to be that it is generic--everything from plot to characters. I expect the animation to be the only solid part of the show.

Ah yeah absolute duo was well absolute duo. I gave up at the beach/hot spring episode due to all the tonal whiplash and endless jumps between unique and generic.
Arslan Senki and Digimon has my interest. The latter mostly for nostalgia, and I am curious to see what they have in store.

Even with the sequels added into the list and me adding Hibike just to fill out the list I really found awfully few shows that interest me just by glancing. Will have to probably research a bit on some of them and then bet on some to not suck.

A cliffhanger ending is preferable to them trying to rush the ending and get everything that need to happen into 3 episodes which is highly unlikely to work. A third season, I hope we get one!
Yupp, while it's good he's getting fleshed out I doubt it's really possibly to delve into the details of what he propose should be done and it's a shame but something we kinda knew were never going to happen.
It's only one thing that's important anyways
I hope we get a third season too. I love Log Horizon, so yeah, three episodes will not be enough to wrap up a ton a plot threads that haven't been wrapped in 2.
In fact, in so far as to what this season has accomplished, it's done nothing much other than flesh the world and characters some more as well as bring in new factors/problems to deal with. If the story has been planned out I see this as a sort of stepping stone, a sort of Mass Effect 2 with far more relevance to the main plot.
As for Ryo.
In hindsight I opened my mouth too quickly there. Of course there's no need to tell us the ins and outs of his plan, however my errr... love for this stuff? Got in the way.
I'm in favour of Ryo's plan and I've wanted Sei to do this for some time now. Qin becoming an economic superpower means alot. With Ryo in the way and the Coalition, Sei hasn't had time to focus on internal affairs that much, but war itself could be reduced by a lot if Qin achieve this and become an economic leviathan.
However, it's naive for Ryo to state that conflict will end. No it won't, but that's him making an impression (I think.) He's too prudent a man to work in absolutes, yet, like I said, conflict how it is now would drop dramatically.
So yeah.

I personally don't like Saber as much as I could have, partially because there's little to her.
Zero expanded a bit, but she's basically "too good for this earth" archetype... No real character flaws other than feeling guilty about not saving her country.

We both find Ryo's way to be much more to our liking and the benefits of it is plenty and they get mentioned. Sadly thanks to it being a manga the time can't be given to actually point out the many issues that his way would cause not to mention the fact that opposing states hardly would sit on their bums while Qin refocused their energy from being masters of war to economic superpower.
Ah well, such is left for us to dream about in steam chats and such!
About Log.. a third season is a must and it wouldn't be to outrageous to say that a 4th season would maybe be needed to resolve all the plot points that exist now but also the ones that are likely to appear in a third season. The world allow so much more so it would almost be a shame to not utilize it a bit more. The danger of doing that may be enough to lower ambitions. Luckily it's not my choice to make

Not to imply that'd be a bad thing.
It's why it's getting a movie(three movies is the rumor though which hopefully is true as there is no way HF can be done properly in one movie)
It's far darker and more disturbing then Zero in many ways, along with Shirou and Rin being tested right to the limit.
Plus it has the best relationship.
