The former is what annoys me with lots of 'mature' anime out there. Everything is phrased in a way that makes 1+5 into 6/2 + 1 x 2 + 2 - 4. Both having same answer but the latter unnecessarily convoluted.

 

The latter (of the quote) though is something I respect in any medium. I've it found prevalent in Death Parade, where you could draw out tons of meaningful conversations and complex ideas within a basic presentation of the idea itself.

 

I would have mentioned LOTGH but I've already beat that horse to death... but I'll do it anyway. God knows how long two informed people could talk about the pros and cons of each ruling government, sh*t, Discourses on Livy talks about Republics at length, far more than Monarchies/Autocracies, but even Machiavelli endorses autocracy in order to establish the best republics.

 

However not once in LOTGH did I find myself having to skip back to a convo in order to fully grasp it.

Kuzei was a lot more impressive of an antagonist than Gouda, since while they both had some very intriguing elements that they delved into, the former at least didn't need to explain himself in a overcomplicated manner. Gouda was basically all about "lawl look at mah intelligenzze!"

 

Seriously, f*ck that guy! Hated him in almost every scene. I bet where he to ask you to hand him the salt at the dinner table he would go all like "Would you kindly acquire the necessary time and courtesy to so delinquently detach the salt from the table and so strategically locate it into my hand" or some sh*t.

Batou and the Tachikomas are two things I'm absolutely going to mention as awesome parts of GitS. Very important pieces to get so many parts of GitS to either work or work better than average which is commendable

Eh, I've been in a similar state wherein I've found a character / person in real life to be genius, simply because I didn't understand half of what he said but it sounded intellectual. So naturally when you actually understand what they are saying, and can distinguish with what is said and what someone is actually trying to say it becomes a totally different thing.

 

It goes without saying why a lot of politicians practices this--when you can dissuade people with empty words, might as well have the idiots follow you. Sad but true.

 

And yes, Motoko is sex for the eyes.
