Hopefully this time we get less Saber fanservice and more Shirou, Archer and Rin. Ufotable has alot to make up for by messing around in season 1 with all the worthless new Saber scenes that added nothing.

Eh? A few scenes at home with Saber added layers to her, particularly the one with Fuji-nee regarding Kiritsugu--by having Saber be the one asking the question instead of Sakura which makes the transition to Zero much stronger.

Other than that fight with Berserker and the bridge scene, I has no issue with how Saber has been treated. I actually encourage it, since it adds characterization to her however slim it might be, for the show to stand on its own. Considering that both Rin and Archer so far have been handled quite well, I personally have no issue with how the anime has progressed.

I can definitely see the frustration from someone who wants a point by point adaptation, though.

So I'm loving Mushishi tons, it's really my kind of anime. The dub is decent, but it's not Travis' best role, too bad about the subs being unreadable due to how bright it could be sometimes.

Yes. This pleases me. Mushishi S1 is one of my favorites. S2 wasn't quite as great, but still very very good.

Now put Kino's Journey somewhere in your list. It can be at the bottom, so long as it's there somewhere. It's another great show that has a bunch of similarities with Mushishi. I enjoyed Kino's Journey even more personally. It sat at the top of my favorite animes for a good while, until ARIA dethroned it.

Mo-chan is the best. Hell one of the biggest reasons why F/A is so good is because there is no Saber. Was the same with Fate/Extra. Nero and Mo-chan are just giant breaths of fresh air.

As I said, it is a disappointing feature when it comes to directing it as an adaptation. I myself have no problems since Rin and Shirou are already well established characters by now, so any missing scenes aren't a problem for me. This way all four of the main characters have gotten enough screen time thus far to warrant them as functional characters on their own, which pleases me.

Nero required barely an hour to become more interesting than Arturia. I'm still eagerly awaiting to learn of her struggle against that lion. Will have to wait though, busy with Grisaia instead

It's probably just because she's the most well known of all the characters. I knew who Saber was before I knew what fate/ was.

I see the reuse of Saber for other characters as the character designer wanted a longer lunch.

That's also why True Assassin is from the same group as the F/Z Assassin.

Yeah, though I find it a bit of a waste of sorts having them not only choosing male historical figures that are gender swapped, but also to look like Arturia in appearance.

But that is mostly my historical side of me being angsty, since I would like to explore different avenues with different characters and not have them gender swapped simply b/c of reasons like trolling the fanbase (even though as hilarious as the idea is). Not to say that they aren't characters that can stand on their own, but ultimately it is an annoyance on my part.
