Considering that Iihiko had killed a god with a rubber band, i kind of expected the murder stomp to be worse.

Word. I'm surprised her body is even intact at all at this point.

I've been browsing free trials of a bunch of different streaming services-- anyone use Netflix much for anime and can recommend any of the shows there? To be honest, while I recognize some of the titles, outside of Soul Eater none of them really interest me at a glance.

So far I've watched Kaze no Stigma, Darker Than Black, Corpse Princess, and Nabari no Ou on there. I can't recommend Darker Than Black highly enough, Corpse Princess is pretty interesting, Kaze no Stigma was pretty cool as well and Nabari no Ou was kind of disappointing. The only good thing about the main character is his tendency to put on a "puppy dog" face to manipulate people to do what he wants.

Thanks, I will look into these. I should make one of those lists for all the different shows I plan on watching...

As far as the streaming services go, so far I've come to these conclusions--

Crunchyroll: a bit limited selection, but some shows I can't find elsewhere; pretty up-to-date with the shows it does have, and the service is nice as it's free and you can pay to get rid of the ads.
Funimation: great selection, has most of what I want; buggy app, buggy servers, no real free option but no ads if you pay.
Hulu: great selection also, has almost everything I want (including the shows previously mentioned); not up-to-date with some of its shows, mostly available for free but the paid version still has ads?
Netflix: good selection in general, but not a whole lot of anime; not free, no ads.

I'm leaning toward sticking with Hulu and Crunchyroll only. Any other services people can recommend?

Crackle is a small and free ad-based streaming site. It has about 60 series, most of them are pretty interesting. Most of the animes are dubs, so I would skip this app if you aren't into those. All the series they have on there are complete, to my knowledge. It's the site that I discovered Initial D and Moribito on. If anything, it is a good stop-gap solution if you don't have money to dish out for the premium versions of Hulu or Crunchyroll.

Hulu Plus does have ads and there is quite a bit of content not available for gaming and mobile devices. All of the series that are available on alternate devices are subbed, though you can usually find the dubbed version on the site if you really want to watch that. The series are generally complete and they generally stay up to date, but videos are subject to getting suddenly taken down.

You pretty much share my sentiments with Crunchyroll. They seem to be more about quality than quantity, which isn't necessairly a bad thing. Anime wise, I feel like I'm getting more bang for my buck with this app than with Hulu.

If anything, I'd suggest sticking with the free version of Hulu for shows that you can't watch on CR. Well, as long as you don't mind watching the shows on your computer. Since I don't mind doing that, going with Plus didn't seem justified, but you may be different.

Also, From me to you (japanese title Kimi Ni Todoke) is an awesome series. I know I said this before, but the art is supurb, the VA is supurb, the writers did an excellent job (though there was a stretch that was a little questionable) and it's just a really easy series to lose hours to without realizing it. It is a series I highly reccommend, especially if you are into shojo series. Even if you're not, I think you will appreciate the production value if you are into that sort of thing.

After reading chapter 179 of Medaka Box, this one scene flashed through my mind. GG Iihiko.
Iihiko is impossible as he reversed my prediction.

I just finished catching up on Medaka Box, and I really enjoyed reading it.

The only problems I have with it was the pacing in the Kurokami Medaka's Successor Arc, and how in this manga that does a great job at giving characters a back-story, just dropped the Plus Six like a bad habit. Kumagawa really screwed them over, the second he appeared they didn't matter anymore.

In fact everything the Chairmen Committee did could have been done by the Plus Six, but beside though two things I have no problem with this manga.

My favorite characters were Kumagawa, Anshin'in, and Kei Munakata.

Overall it is a fresh series, but the current arc feels like the last one due to Iihiko and his last boss like powers.

^Sadly i looked up the Plus Six as i had forgotten about them.

Plus from now on, it would be interesting to see how Nisio will wrap up this series.

I highly recommend Liar Game if you are into psychological mind games like those depicted in Death Note and Kaiji.

Synopsis: Nao Kanzaki has been dubbed a "foolishly honest girl" for her excessive faith in the best of others. When a package arrives at her house, she, unsuspecting, opens it only to discover her admittance into the Liar Game -- a twisted, tournament game involving 100 million yen! The profits are high, but so are the prospects of losing.Allying with an ex-convict, how will she be able to cope with the circumstances? And what is the true intent of the corporation behind the Liar Game? A mind-boggling, psychological thriller that looks into the nature of the human mind as well as the never ending battle between truth and lies.

In terms of the complexity, demonstration of actual psychological concepts, and sheer genius of the concocted plots/strategies, Liar Game is, in my opinion, head and shoulders above the other 2.

The artwork is rather simplistic at first (but it gets better and will grow on you) and the first arc seemingly unremarkable but the manga improved significantly with the minority voting arc and is relentlessly brilliant ever since.

One of my favorite scenes from the manga (no spoilers) about trust and apathy : clicky

Though I don't really enjoy the "Whatever game" type show if it's built purely around that, the manga in that video was cool.

Actually, I wouldn't have watched it at all weren't it for the .hack/SIGN music. :/

Still, it seemed pretty awesome.

I got like 9 volumes of Bakuman for Christmas, but I'm conveniently missing the one I need to continue the series, so I just have this epic stack of books that remain untouched. I suppose I could read it online, but it's the principle of the thing.

But yeah, other than cracking open my Death Note books on a plane right before Christmas, I've not watched or read anything. Been drawing a bit at school when I should be studying, but I'd rather be good at drawing than algebra, so that's just how it ends up working out I guess.

But I digress...

I finished watching episode 4 of 'Legend of Galactic Heroes' and I'm definitely enjoying it. :)

A nice "flash back" in this anime.

Best way to improve the tedious fights in Bleach: Shorten them to a minute and play dubstep in the background.

First time I approve of dubstep being added to anything. Because there's no way it can detract from Bleach's quality; Bleach is already at negative integers.

So now Sasuke was part of a plan to resurrect Narutos dad as shambling zombie. From a full on mass murderer to a part time necromancer, resurrecting his "best friend's" family members as corpses..... But it's all good, it's worth getting him back. Just remember all the good times they had together, when he wasn't a gloating socially inept ****.... Oh yeah. He was always like that. Never mind.

"Hey Sasuke, Tobi put Zetsus inside you without you noticing! Somehow!
And I know this because Kabuto knew this! Somehow!
Juugo, touch Sasuke with the curse seal, that'll expel the Zetsus! Somehow!
Wow, there's just enough zetsus to use for Edo Tensei, AND give me a new body after my Hari Kiri! WHAT A COINCIDENCE!"

I love how relaxed Sasuke is about 6 naked plant men exploding from his body like giant tumors.

@bmwcrazy Stop being a tsundere, they are dumb characters. :/
