Done with Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom and as promised the usual short post about it

 

The show is a very competent thriller that I enjoyed from beginning to the end. The show got a great OST with a few tracks that over 26 episodes become very memorable. One or two tracks didn't even need to be played more than once to be fondly remembered by me and I can absolutely listen to them at any point during everyday life. The show is good looking and while it wont get top marks in this area it suited the experience and managed to help create a better experience together with the other aspects of the show. The show is lead by a very, very good duo of Ein and Zwei that over the course of the show change and grow well considering the circumstances. One can also find several other good characters in which the main antagonist was well suited for the show and managed to capture a good amount despicable without coming off as ridiculous. The story is overall quite good even if there were a couple of times were I found myself sighing over lost potential or that the creators decided to use tropes or scenarios that I've seen a million times in the past and most of the time in B-movies from Hollywood. Despite that I'm alright with them being there when the end product is as enjoyable to watch as it turned out to be. The story don't figuratively blow any minds and I ended up mostly focusing on the characters and see where they would end up going as things moved on. 

 

 

So yeah, watch it. Not going to be on my top 10 or anything but absolutely an enjoyable watch!

Episode 61. Schönkopf is pretty badass leading a resistance against the Alliance to save Yango. Yang is not very physically fit. That weird soldier would have killed him.

Kana was a fricken moron. She was warned sooooo many goddam times yet kept spouting bs and kept going "I can sense you easily! Even through that failed so many times. Her death was the cause of her own foolishness and I outright agree with Migi, he should not feel responsible for her death at all. It was 100% her own fault

Oh I agree, 12 was very very good. The last scene on the road was fantastic, really highlighted the problems he is going through nicely.

Of all the things I expected to happen in that episode (I had guessed the plan was gonna backfire but didn't know what occur), watch their teacher beat the living hell out of them all was just too damn good!

It's because he is the worst foe Saber could ever fight. For someone like Shirou, Heracles, Archer ect who are not dodgers (they attack head on and in Archers case creates fake openings to lure his foes) they can fight him(as you saw with Shirou being able to land hits) Saber on the other hand dodges too much in combat and that backfired horribly on her.

 

Now if Saber fought him again, she would win because she would learn from that fight not to dodge but attack head on. That is his weakness. He is extremely strong, but his style is meant for a one match only deal. If he does not kill his foe, in a rematch he has a strong chance to lose.

Yup. Cu's second best class is a caster thanks to his runes and knowledge of Thaumaturgy thanks to his teacher. Kinda amusing that one of the best Lancers would also be a very strong Caster.
