Eh, I started reading One Piece back in 2005-2006 or something. Caught up with it, and then I reread it a second time in summer 2010. DBZ, Naruto, Bleach and One Piece I found were the greatest thing on earth during my early teens.
And then I grew up and knew better. DBZ and OP is still good stuff.

When I rewatched LOTGH I really wasn't in the mood for it.
Like, I dropped HxH 5 min the first episode cos I knew I wasn't feeling it.
Then I came back and loved the sh*t out of it.

Was reading translated DBZ myself, and I recall that it had first 5 pages of One Piece by the end of the issue along with a tag line which basically said in Swedish: "Looking for another great manga? Want to experience a pirate life? Then join the Straw Hat crew and its merry adventures!"
Yeah, was pretty much sold instantly as a kid.
