It's been a while since I've seen G Gundam, but isn't it basically a shonen anime with Gundam?

Also watch all of the Universal Century, they tend to have the best stories.

Edit: I just realized that every time a Gumdam series get a second season it starts to suck.

Seed was OK, but Destiny was horrible. I liked season 1 of 00, but season 2 was bad. I hear Age gets worse the longer you watch it, but I stopped a ep. 11.

Maybe, though the fact the Japanese Gundam was the only kickass one likely played a part. I mean the America gundam was a cowboy, and its pilot was too, and a womanizer, nevermind MExico being a poor ass peasant.

It has nothing to do wit hcencorship.

Just my dissatisfaction that horrible and stupid ideas get funded, while great ideas and wonderfull stories get overlooked.

At some point somone had to look at the script and say "We'll make this! It's great!".
And I question the sanity of that/those person(s).

I'm not in the best of moods, and not as high and mighty as I might seem but your post did annoy me.

I gather you weren't as serious as one'd imagine, yet you really do come off as very condescending and you do overuse the term "insane", in a simply wrong sense. It's insulting both to the ones who like those shows and "insane" people (yes, those who are "insane" can be good people and only need some special attantion/medication)...

On a completely unrelated note, has anyone else been following Sakurasou no pet na Kanojo? It's like, super amazing.

It's about a group of students living in a dorm designed for troubled students. Then the dorm's teacher has her younger cousin fly in from England to live in the dorm and go to school there. She's a brilliant artist but is really dense in just about every other regard (she's an artistic savant).

It starts off more comedy oriented, but it gets more dramatic as it goes. Especially in the more recent episodes. So far 17 of the 24 episodes have aired.

I was serious.

I want more quality writing and more quality anime. In fact, more qualtiy in media of all kinds.

So when I see crap like "Battleship" or "Alving and the Chipmunks" or any other product of a bad acid trip get made, and see great stories that get shafted, great series that get cancelled - it pissess me off.

Condescennding? Maybe. Don't care. I'm not taking back a single word...or wovel.
