Alright, I've made up my mind.

 

Kancolle is better than Girls und Panzer, I'd mark it between 73 and 81, just below K-on in my book.

 

The Protagonist, Bucky, borders on being the unstoppable protagonist that can do no wrong, but occasionally will fail and get looked down on for it, she's not a great protag, but protagonists are hard to write.

 

Some plot points you do have to roll your eyes over, especially if they involve Bucky, but the key with this show is the ship battles and character interaction, which Strike Witches did well. However Kancolle improves by not making me see a young girl's crotch or ass every 2 minutes.

 

The 3D animation they use in fight scenes at the beginning bordered on cringey to viewable, but later on became much more smooth and pretty.

 

And, I think I'm going to go play the game at some point.

That's why I would never actually encourage or recommend someone to watch the infamous endless eight besides perhaps the first and last of the ones. So no need to repeat the 6 if they make you miserable already. That would be quite foolish to be honest. That they choose to adapt this part of the original material I may never be able to truly understand but they did.

I managed to binge watch it all but it's really not something to recommend for obvious reasons. Just watch the last of the 8 and you at most will have missed a few lines and a few different outfits on the characters.

A solid 4 out of 5. There was some issues and pacing problems in the middle, plus alot of characters acting like super bakas that felt like they where just doing it to pull the plot, but the last two episodes really made up for it. Also I'm probably one of the few who didn't hate Muranao, she was a bit annoying at the start but she got much better later. Kana and the glasses chick tho >.>

Not going to deny that. The movie was absolutely brilliant and I'm glad that I forced myself through the endless eight.
