1. It's incomparable. Watch it.
In overall, it feels pleasantly calm and slice-of-life, but underneath it's thrilling and has a sense of anxiety. The latter comes from care-free yet well-thought-through sci-fi meandering on time travel.
But if I must, then... The Girl Who Leapt Through Time meets Death Note (in some aspects meeting Durarara! and a moe-show even - yet Steins;Gate is better than those, save Death Note, maybe)

If you want a show like that uhh watch ChäoS HEAd, Robotics Notes, like those are connected in a manner. I can link you the site for its direct recommendations. But those two shows are from the same group and kinda the same alternative thought like setting.

Edit oh yeah mangahere is a pretty good site I use that one for manga at times.

Okay, so I thought it was grand that the kages weren't in fact blank exposition slabs and I was seriously appreciating that. Kishi gave them personalities!! Even OPINIONS. Awesome! (Although it's a bit much that they don't think anything of having just been f***ing pulled from the belly of the god of death! And Sarutobi's resentment that he didn't manage to seal Orochimaru was a bit weaksauce but oh well you can't cram a billion things into a chapter.)

One Piece and Toriko are pretty good, if not great most of the time.

But I started Naruto years ago and I will see it to the end, then I will never read it again.

@Logan I think you never really gave One Piece a chance, since I think it does fit your tastes in stories, but that is just my opinion and stuff.

As for other stuff, read Hunter x Hunter or if you just want it as an anime watch the new show. Oh and Nodame Cantabile, I think you might like that too. Both are great, I would never let you or anyone here read/watch crap, unless there is a really good reason.

You know there is foreshadowing to the whole Uchiha love thing.

I'm just not sure where Kishimoto started foreshadowing it, I can see 3 spots in the manga where he could have started.

The wave arc when Naruto and Sasuke fought Haku, in Kakashi Gaiden, and when Sasuke had that flashback about fighting Itachi during the massacre.

At each of these times someone without the Sharingan gained it, when someone they cared for was either about to die or was already dead.

The last bit of foreshadowing was when Sasuke got his Mangekyō, he didn't get it until he realised all the things Itachi had done for him.

However, even if it was foreshadowed I still don't like it as a justification for all the evil Uchiha stuff.

Just wondering was it the old 4Kids dub you watched? Read the manga if you do get back to it tho. It flows much better.

As for disliking popular stuff, you like Gurren Lagann and SAO. Just saying. But yeah fanboy/girls suuuuuck.

Nodame Cantabile is a romance, drama and classical music josei series. It is some real good stuff.

Ah Outlaw Star, it was the first "space" show I liked before I got into the universal century gundam shows.
