Putting aside ones personal music preferences, I prefer Again (1st opening) since how it manages to capture the very essence of the show as a whole--everything from brothers' sacrifice to the action set pieces with Gluttony and Envy in the intro. It manages to convey both through visual imagery and musical undertones their hopes and struggles, what motivates them and what conflicts they face. the OP becomes more powerful as you learn of their backgrounds as you watch them.
The 4th OP seems to be something of similar magnitude, but more "epic" in scale with all the characters appearing together on a desterted field, which I'd assume builds up to something grand. And that el-guitar playing in the background gets my blood pumping to the max!
But the piano is one of my favorite musical instruments, so the background tone in the first inital seconds in the 1st OP that sets the emotional tone, followed by the up-tempo rock tune just makes the song so damn great for me!

My reaction when I realized that I had survived the Endless Eight:
I lost count at around the 4th part of it, so I thought I was on episode 7 of it when I had reached 8.

So. Just finished Death Billiards. The music was absolutely fantastic so I hope Parade keeps up on that front. I can certainly see the storyline clicking with me in the series if it runs on the same sorts of rules the movie does (which I figure it will).

Well well this is not a post I actually expected to be writing when I picked up Death Parade. Sure it did sound interesting and could be a good show but many shows do seem like that. The thing is.. very few actually surpass that and achieve more than that. Now for a final judgement of Death Parade!
Been thinking for a while now on how I feel about the show so that I when the final episode arrived that I would be able to say what I want to say and this is how it will be! Death Parade is a show that got all the key components to achieve excellence. It got a very interesting narrative that really only kept getting more and more interesting as the show went on and that is worthy to point out since it's so easy for a narrative to go the opposite and become dull. Death Parade also carry with it a great set of characters that come with their very different personalities and characteristics and through that create some really awesome experiences. There's some massive character growth to be found in Death Parade and it can be found in right about every character and especially in the main duo in which one of them might show some of the best I've seen in a decent while. There've been such growth in other shows but oh dear is that rare to see. Since the show always brought in new characters in more or less every episode there would be a risk that some of them would either be dull or just written in a way where it would be possibly to question why they even existed. Didn't find myself wondering that at all during the show and actually realised more and more why certain characters existed, their meaning and what they contributed!
Death Parade got a great art style that I feel managed to be very appropriate for the things the show wanted to show and tell the viewer. Flamboyant colours would've had a hard time working with Death Parade and instead they used other means to give the show a lot of life! The OST was perhaps a bit of a concern for a little while but as most parts of Death Parade it got stronge as things progressed and I've been listening a good amount of a few soundtracks that I've managed to find on the webz.
Now.. just where do I put Death Parade in my list of shows? There've been many shows that I've watched as ongoing now but I believe Death Parade has been to my liking to such a degree that it achieve what so far no other show has managed. A "most accomplished" score. It will get a most deserved spot.. in the top 10
