I do find it funny I teach alot of lessons here though.
You do?
Since you're the youngest guy in this thread
He is?
Oh God! WE'VE BEEN CORRUPTING THE YOUTH!!!!!
We have?
For some reason, I keep thinking I'm the youngest here.

Chewin 长辈,您应该休息。
I figured.
So that's a no on the Ilya gifs?
I know Sim keeps thinking I'm in my 30s.
Oh, I'm always game for some Illya

Anyway, my poor attempts at being funny aside, ended up going with HunterxHunter. Well only 5 episodes in, so not in any position to judge it yet, but its off with a fun start at least. The main cast seem distinctive and colorful, and has alreayd introduced some cool twists right from the bat.
I went in with basically no info, other than that it revolves around hunters, so it going into aspects like human psyche though different means certainly came as a surprise. Looking forward to what more it has in store.
Oh I chuckled. Old people can be funny too!
Oh, I'm always game for some Illya
Not bad.
Bit too young though.
I'm sure you'll enjoy FMA for its first half (up to ep 26 or something) though after that... not so much when compared to Brotherhood.
And for me--I think I'll start with Death Parade or watch a couple of episodes of HunterxHunter, since I'm kinda in a "shonen" mood. Finishing DP sounds like the more ideal choice, but I doubt I will bing watch HxH in its entirety, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'll end up watching a shorter anime on the side (unless HxH manages to completely "suck me in").
Personally I enjoyed the original FMA (not more then Brotherhood) because it still had some pretty good character development IIRC (like Scar's). I have to give them props for taking it as far as they did, since they were originally making it in line with the manga but eventually began to draw too close to it and were allowed to go their own way by the author.
IIRC, she even said she liked it herself.
Hohenheim in both versions just gives me FEELS.
Did you watch Conqueror of Shamballa Chewin? It's the movie sequel to the first FMA anime.
Anyway, my poor attempts at being funny aside.
Oh, your humor is hardly something I'd call poor
He can always comfort himself that there are plenty of worse cases of "humor"
At his age one just got to find solace in whatever possible
Not bad.

FINE
FINE
Spoiler
Oh god my heart!

Should we call you Sensei?

Hmm, so Clones is the youngest and Isi is the oldest, no?
Always fun to know
There are quite a few people here older than Isi. Dust and Lotion swam with liopleurodons.
Wat.

"That's nice Illya, but who protects me from you?"
Goddamit Chewin, you just made me imagine Shirou going full UBW Rin on Illya from all people.

Man, I remember when those were Rhomaleosaurs

Pretty pleased these are not around anymore. While cool and all they would every now and then cause a bit of a scene
For some reason, I keep thinking I'm the youngest here.
How old are you Eluvianus?
Curently on phone and too lazy to throw this into translate, so gonna assume this has something to do with old age.
"That's nice Illya, but who protects me from you?"
*disgusted noise*
The original works on its own right for sure, and has some stronger aspects than Brotherhood, though in terms of the ending I personally found it to fall rather flat and the quality degraded within the final episodes. Nothing mindbreaking, since it delivered on its thematic values that it brought up and the plot revelations worked accordingly enough, though when compared to Brotherhood it itsn't as powerful nor as well handled.
Nah, I didn't bother with the movie. I found the ambiguous ending to be an asspull, and I stopped caring by the end so I just went to Wikia to check the plot.
No question about that. It's a solid piece on its own, to be sure, but Brotherhood just made everything so much better and had a much stronger sense of... cohesion?
Bah, words are mush. But yes, Brotherhood was the better of the two.
I really enjoyed all of the Homunculi in Brotherhood, since they were given a lot more substance to them. Poor Wrath. I choose to believe the soul that came out on top was the original one, rather then one from the stone.
