Well I don't have a top 13 here Vroom but I'll give a recap of various things instead! All right so got through most/nearly all of Shakugan No Shana. I did enjoy it quite a bit, it reminded me of Fate for some reason, I guess maybe because one of the main characters was a girl with a sword? I don't know.

Now and Then, Here and There follows a boy (Shu) who gets transported to the future due to circumstance. The future is anything but wondrous, for a crazy dictator (Hamdo) rules it with an iron fist as he desperately tries to find an everlasting source of water (something which is extremely rare in the future). I'd feel like a liar if I didn't point out that Hamdo actually sent chills down my spine, for not only is he sadistic (his army is comprised mainly of children) and crazy, but highly unpredictable. A warning dear reader(s): this show is very dark (it contains a rape and has children get gunned down indiscriminately).     

 

 

Oh another one I think I forgot I watched at one point... different.. for sure.

 

I also watched something called Perfect Blue, it had my attention, it was creepy, for sure, I don't know if I really enjoyed it though.. it's about a Jpop star/actress that gets a stalker and her trip into insanity and other ho hum things.

I also watched the rest of Rin, Mseneymnanajadk can't remember the title... it's hard to spell.. really! I just always call it Rin. It was very interesting, something about  some immortal woman and some other stuff from greek mythology and also some graphic things. The main character was pretty interesting, anyway, had a lot of fun so there's that one.

There's alot of stuff mentioned in Hollow that ended up being in Zero. Sabers fear of sea creatures was amusing.

Oh that brings back memories. It's been a long time since I saw that anime but I remember it being very enjoyable.

An infulx of even MORE genderbending, MORE lolis' everywhere, MORE pointless fanservice/fetishization and unenecessary explanations that conflict (there is never need to explain how everything works in tiny detail. Leave some mistery. It's better)

Also unlimited saberworks.

 

A lot of anime is turning more and more into nothing but fetish-fuel to pander to the most extreeme otakus, going over the top and showing it EVERYWHERE. Zero subtlelty.

It can be fun to laugh one or twice, but when a show is built upon it? Frak it.

Frak Iliya and frak Kaeleneid (or whatever it's called)

Frak all the spin-offs with an ever-increasing number of stupid ideas.

Berserk didn't have them (but the manga now does).

 

I'm sick to hell of super-special power-of-youth protagonists and super-girly-girls that act AND look like kids even when they shouldn't be.

Oh god that still?! When did I say that.. like 3 months ago, I think you have the wrong impression here.. I'm not like against his character on moral grounds or something. I've watched and experienced far crazier things and gone ehhh... I just wasn't a big fan of him.

 

As far as the dark and twisted characters I preferred Chrollo for instance... maybe Isichar or Chewin or Vroom or someone that is fond of the pen can spill the beans on why that might be. Plus, it's just preference, no grand divisions or anything.

I was talking about his complaints about the overuse of the saber design and the the needless gender bending. The complaint about the dog is pointless. It's Jojo that's all the explanation you need for Iggy. Even a dog looks friggin manly in that universe.
