Its good for wiping out all the negative preconceptions about anime which is one of the reasons I feel it makes a good early one. Or at least it did that for me.

Yar, as I've stated before I personally am of the mind that PMMM can and often should come later. I don't want to say too much for spoiler's sake though. So I'll say that yes, obviously from me it comes with a very high recommendation *but* having some experience in the magical girl genre does help.

 

 

So to answer your other question Abraham, I personally love Sailor Moon but it was also a huge part of my childhood. Some seasons are of course better than others (I'm most partial to R and S) and even outside of Crystal, the full original series is going to be made streamable through Hulu and the like these days so it's kind of a treat. To put that into a little bit of perspective, the final season originally was never released outside of Japan but now it's finally going to be. Crystal on the other hand is a new take on it, following more closely to the original manga. I have no comments there though as I still haven't started it.

PMMM is the first thing I always want to write when someone ask for recommendations but saving it for a bit later does the show good. Even with some prior knowledge of the genre I still had to research a large amount and even then I'm certain I'll need to watch it a few times over to fully grasp it. Kinda like SSY, would love to recommend it directly but.. not the right show for people wanting some new shows and not have many under the belt.

 

It's a pain but something we gotta live with it seems!
