I haven't really watched any series in a long time, been sticking to a lot of films, which I enjoy more personally.  Though, I do need to watch a few, just kept forgetting over the past few months.

 

Thanks anyway.   

 

If you want a short series with great fight scenes just watch Samurai Champloo.

 

Action and excellent narrative combined!

Oh the animation is great. Most of the complaints lie with the story.

And the stupid censorship that half the time makes it hard to even tell what is going on in the screen. -_-

I've always been more attached to philosophical animes or psychological, especially story-driven.  Like Elfen Lied.  I love that one in particular.  Anything with a good story is what I usually look out for.  I've actually been meaning to check out Wolf's Rain and I still have to see Kill La Kill (I know, I know) and Reezy mentioned Darker Than Black a while ago.  

 

I've seen most of Studio Ghiblis work, which I adore tremendously.

 

I actually don't mind little romance in there as well, depending on the overall story of it though, like Wolf Children or Garden of Words, love both those films.
