That is comforting to hear. I had my distance from Archer since the beginning (I tend to do so with Byronic hero characters, due to them often being rather superficial characters) so it is nice to see how Archer has been "building up" as a character through the story, and has been gradually rising up the ranks in my Fate character list.

I absolutely love the byronic hero type but I'm with you there. Archer can be one amazing one if used and developed properly. If not then it's just another promise not fullfilled.

I have actually been calling Chewin "old man" jokingly so far in my stay here, and even got his GF along. She even laughed when I called him it in front of her and she replied "Well he could use a cane for sure"

Clearly she is one of us!

I'm way harsher on the byronic hero type than most others due to me loving it and the irritation that arise when I see promise thrown away is hard to even describe in words. So far Archer is going in the right direction and I got enough faith that I believe the progression will continue and lead to Archer ending up one of my more well liked Fate characters. 

 

I can totally believe she liking it that much going by how awesome she's been so far!

Yup. She's nuts. Although we didn't get those inner thoughts, I thought the anime at least did subtly hint at what was going on.
