So what really makes the design work is they did a good job combining a beastial aspect, and a sort of noble aspect. It's a nice crossroads since most designs lean towards one or the other. Or they're just derpy like the Hedorah Suit.

Not to mention unlike 98, the design isn't too far off the beaten path for the Japanese Godzillas. Just updated to reflect western designs better.

Ultimately I like the bulky design and especially the face, it's very expressive in the film. Which adds another dimension to the character.

Indeed, I really liked the appearance of Godzilla in the nuGodzilla. My only complaint was that I wanted more Godzilla and less army guys.

My only issue with the movie tbh. Boring protag and not enough Godzilla. MUTOs where cool tho.
