She does get it somewhat.
That's all I'll tell you.
Whatever it is, it's no where near as dark as Berserk for example.
Just very bittersweet.

Kirei is just so badass in this route it totally makes up for his "LET MEEEEEEE, ENTERTAIN YOU" role in Fate and his lack of screen-time in UBW.

Well she goes through a lot.
But like I said.
She gets a good ending for herself in True.
Like it's the best ending for Sakura really.
It's bittersweet for Shirou and Rin.
But eh.
I'm so desensitised to dark stuff it's hilarious. It's what I get for basically loving dark themes over lighter ones.

Originally Fate was going to consist out of two games.
One was going to be called Fate/StayNight and the other one Fate/OtherNight.
FSN was going to have the Fate and UBW route while FON would have Illya and Sakura route.
But because of budget issues they made the VN shorter.
