All done with Durarararararararararara. After a start that didn't really catch me it did turn out pretty great. It needed the time to spin some backgrounds and start some storylines and once things actually had picked up a bit of speed and developed I could finally see why the show got the great reputation it has. Very interesting storylines in addition the the great cast of characters and Durararararara got a lot of things going for it. I ended up liking the art style afte a while aswell which made the show stand out in a good way.

Woe is the life of Isi~
(this is basically the low point of my day)
The artist for Durarara is also the guy who did the artwork fro Atlus Devil Survivor Megami Tensei spin-offs. Don't know if he did it for the anime based on the second game as well? The one I've been watching, hmm... Anyway, I do love the artwork of Durarara myself as well, given how well-rounded and layered it is in accordance with a modern Tokyo, and the clothes are authentic, urban while not being extravagant like something out of Square Enix or something -- They also don't have eyes the size of eight balls for once, which is good. The unchronological narrative made up by smaller character driven stories seem to be a stigma of Ryohga Narita, but I think it generally worked better for Baccano but Durarara!! tries to accomplish something different -- Baccano had a red herring going for it, while also being a self-referential commentary of the very makings of a narrative, Dulalalala doesn't have anything major connecting it together which I kinda like too. It's the characters that are engaging, while there are at least a few who are obnoxious, but many that are engaging, to balance those out the good.
It's good that you enjoyed it.
Durarararara was neat for sure and I can absolutely agree that the unchronological narrative worked better with Baccano than Durararararara which was an issue for me at the start but something I could look past as things moved along in a good enough direction, mostly thanks to the great cast that got better as more was learned about them
