As long as you don't take the show too seriously it's pretty enjoyable.

 

I've ended up just calling K-on the embodiment of dumb/silly moe. Anyone want something close to that and K-on is totally up their alley but if anyone want something else then K-on doesn't have it

The K-on crowd is possibly the most hilarious fanbase I've encountered to date. I almost envy their upbeat enthusiasm and their seemingly endless creativity in making things like that

Heh, just a quick glance at the shows I've watched and close to half of them are silly/dumb. Will even finish up another show just like that tonight. Dumb/silly shows are close to always a safe bet to watch. Some people should certainly try one of them every now and then.

When I watched it on my own, it was moderately awkward. When I watched it with a group of friends, it was horrendous (in a good way)....

No show has made me feel as awkward as Watamote and that does the show a great deal of credit for managing that.

Watched the first episode and couldn't stand it. Probably because I don't particularly see the humor in it? I find it more or less sad if not funny, which in of itself is sad given that the creator is intentionally playing the protagonist's emotional pain for laughs, like the treatment of stereotypical anime-cross-dressers. Usually, this kind of ironic karmatic slap-stick is always played on morally questionable characters, which is usually pretty funny, but in this case I just found it sad (in a not so good way). So, I ended it there given that kind of comedy didn't really draw any real laughs just bewilderment, really.
