Ah, the mystery is perhaps even deeper than initially suspected.
Fate StayNight has the deepest lore.
Did you know that the reason the VN is called Fate StayNight is because it's the Fate from each heroine to stay the night at Shirou's house?
The more you know.

Finished ep10 of HxH, lol that bet.
This is why everybody should love Leorio.
He's also the detective dude in 8+9 of Death Parade.

First episode of Hibike! Euphonium aired and the show obviously look quite good being made by KyoAni. If the show manage to deliver on its music then the show will more or less fullfill the low expectations I got on it. If the characters turn out to be decent then that's just great but I didn't pick this show to follow expecting much. It's different from what I usually watch.

I decided to watch a show that I had no knowledge of anyone else in this thread having watched and I went with one called: Inou Battle Within Everyday Life. I was disappointed with the show at first, but about 3 or 4 episodes in the show really began to hit its stride and dangle plot threads all about. As the show went on it strayed away from being just a harem and started focusing on how the characters viewed their superpowers and it had them learn what they meant to each other. I really enjoyed how ignorant the main characters were in the grand scheme of things, the world was a lot more larger than they could have ever imagined. The ending was both strong and disappointing. It was strong in the sense that the stakes got raised, the situation was exceedingly dire and wit was the only weapon that the main character was really left with, I like situations like that. What disappointed me about the ending was the loads of plot threads that were left unaddressed, I expected more to be resolved. I guess I have to hope for a season 2 and hope that it does that job for me.
The music was top notch, the voice actors were great, I liked the character designs too (the eyes looked unique. There are tiny black dots right in the center of them, they don't show up to well in the picture above), I found the main character annoying at first, but he grew on me over time. The plot was unpredictable and I still don't have the entire picture, which is something that I enjoy, nothing ever felt like an asspull either. The superpowers were unique and interesting (especially the main character's).
I'd say that it's worth watching if you have the patience for things to pick up and are okay with slow build ups. I give Inou Battle Within Everyday Life an 8 out of 10.

Oh, I can totally find self-derating humor to be funny, I'm usually the type who likes dark comedy, like say Fight Club, Big Lebowski, Fargo or American Psycho. Although, from my point of view, this anime exaggerated this 'subculture' to the point of absurd stereotype, which is usually played for laughs, somewhat similar to how anime tend to treat trans-gendered people or homosexuals with an arguable exception to Stein's Gate. I didn't find it particularly clever, just sad, in a bad way, really.
I was always under the impression that Tomoko was Nico Tanigawa, the mangaka.

The characters were the typical stereotype ones which took some getting used to and I was considering dropping it until about halfway through either 3 or 4, it took a while for the show to drag me in. It probably helps the show in that I was in the mood for something ridiculous.

Leorio is awesome. Shame he didn't do much in Yorknew though. Hopefully he has a larger role in later arc. Greed Island is rather dull for now. Only thing that keeps me interested is Gon and Killua and their developing friendship, which I'm finding is the heart of the show, or at least the glue that holds this show together. Much more fun than to focus on a dumb angsty rivalry that every other shones likes to do that I've watched.
Yeah their romance friendship is awesome.
Greed Island was the weakest arc for me, but I think it simply suffers from being a followup to Yorknew.
It gets better though.
After the Chimera Ant Arc you'd think the next would be blegh, but it was actually pretty damn great.

Parts of it, I watched the first 4 episodes a long time ago and fell out of the mood for it (October or November, I think). I need to get back into it, but other anime keep pulling my attention to them. Steve Blum did a great job as Spike, really like the whole cast actually, the voices are very well done.

Yeah you gotta get back to it.
Also try out Samurai Champloo whilst your at it too.
They're wrriten and directed by the same people as Bebop.
Bebop is a freaking classic. Not my favourite thing in the world, but it's without a doubt a 10/10.

I found it to be a little below average until around the halfway point where the story got ridiculous and added elements that made little sense. Was very close to dropping it but decided to see it to the end and hope it could salvage something but.. nah.. the show ended up more similar to a wreck than a coherent story. I wish I could remember my final post about the show better but I recall saying that the one thing the show didn't end up below average on was the visuals in which the eyes are a large part off. It's sadly one of the weakest score shows I've watched but that said I once again mention that it's good that you at least enjoyed it a great deal more than a few other of us did!
