What if all the people here had Gintama avies?
Pretty sure Puddi and Get are on a quest to have people take HunterxHunter avatars.
Or at least those who are worthy.
Which are few, I'd bet.

It does admittedly take a bit to get going though.
Oi, oi. Where's that Parfait and issue of JUMP Shinpachi?
Silly. SIm's Madao.

We are still waiting for a King.
It's probably going to be Chewin.

Anyway.
Monster.
Finished it.
*insert lots of words here*
Wow, just... wow.
Need to think on this.
When I get the cash and it's available I will probably buy both the anime and manga.
It's spot on 5th place is really depending on my feelings between HxH and Monster.
My top 'x' list is really based on what those animes mean to me over their overall quality.

I've had certain characters spoiled for me (since I've read a few analyses and watched breakdowns on HxH before) I could indeed see Chewin fitting the role of King.
Either him, or Chrollo. Heck, he even speaks in a similar calming way IRL XP
Not because of his personality or whatever.
He'll probs use the AVI once he reaches the mid-point of the arc.
Beat him to it and you'll be our King.
Eh, I only have a Top 5 list, since they are the ones that I 'can solidify' into a proper order. The remaining 5 I'm not sure off, and just keeps getting replaced by other anime as I go along. So once I've found a proper 10 anime that I consider above all else, then I'll post a Top 10. So we'll have to make do with only 5 for now:
5. Spice & Wolf

Admittedly, this one holds a special place in my heart for sentimental reasons mostly. Particularly three reasons as to why; 1) it's the show that properly introduced me to anime and what kinds of different genres they had to offer. 2) It's a show that centers on peddling, with a strong grasp on economy as a central narrative mechanic to convey the story which is something that I haven't seen before, and since I study economy myself naturally it piqued my interest from a early stage. 3) It has a genuine and well developing relationship between the two leads. Their witty remarks and how they complement each other via their dividing personalities and when it comes to the prospect of trade, is not only entertaining but also well handled in the lines of the story.
Its overarching plot is rather straightforward, but since the show is filled with savvy economical centered plots, a stylized European influenced setting that gets fleshed out through the various forms of commerce, in addition to a believable and evolving relationship between Holo and Lawrence, makes the show quite memorable for me.
4. Fate/Zero

A true battle royal--the whole concept of the Holy Grail War as a plot point has the perfect narrative means for it to be the object of contention, which Fate/Zero delivers on quite astutely! When you have an all out battle between seven contestants fighting through different methods and for different purposes for an ultimate reward--while having no one being the immediate central character that the plot relies on--it is key to give the show proper exposition to work on and Fate/Zero knows how to put everything it needs to showcase into the limelight and execute on them in a spectacular fashion.
Featuring a roster of dynamic, multifaceted characters, along with elaborate schemes, exploration on philosophical ideals and thematic materials to convey the story, in addition to a solid mixture of different and vivid action set pieces, helps make the show entertaining, unpredictable and also mature in its approach.
3. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

FMA:B is a lot of things. It is a journey between two brothers as they set on a quest to regain their original bodies, who throughout their travels interact and experience different events, which all helps build their maturing ideals and moral principals that ultimately shapes them as characters. In its essence, FMA:B is an exploration on humanity--which portrays through different avenues various views on morality and philosophical ideals. It doesn't not express these aspect to sound intellectual, but actually expresses thoroughly on them, giving a it a very realistic approach through several causes and aspects.
The various characters are not only colorful but also complex, many who enrich the story in a plethora of ways. Along with sharp aesthetics and soundtrack that complements the various "moods" the shows delves into, all manages to add substance and profundity to the show. And ultimately, the series tells us a story on how a teenage boy comes to understand what it is that connect us human beings.
2. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GiG

Ghost in the Shell is one of those shows that is a masterful blend of visuals and psychological examination. In its very essence, GitS showcases the interaction between humanity and robotic life and utilizes different aspects in the narrative to portray them through different means. Not only does it manage to bring up questions on the very definition of “life,” it also manages to show the complexity of how humanity attempts to define life within a world where people are able to seemingly exist physically and psychologically. 2nd GiG is easily the most fully-realized vision of what the franchise has to offer, since through its combination of episodic stories and overarching plotlines, the series fully gets to explore its vast world through many avenues wherein all its factors are put astutely into play in the narrative.
Each aspect of the plot is very clearly covered, used and acted upon. Each element of the story is involved and well thought out, especially in relation to other elements. Almost every action sequence is well choreographed and acted, which allows the viewer to get a good scope of where the fight is taking place, what’s at stake, who is in control, and what each move could mean for the characters. The show features a vast array of characters, and most of them get a surprising amount of characterization, which is not excluded to Section 9 alone. All these factors complement the show and makes it an enjoyable journey on so many layers that you can't help but appreciate it all.

Spice & Wolf is one of those I haven't finished and have no excuse not to get to - Remind me to work on that, among a few others.
Thanks for the Insight.
Cool, let us know what you think of it, once you eventually are done.
And no problem! ![]()

I'm surprised he even got it up.

I still prefer the Julian kick.
I really must watch Boring Gay Germans In Space. I've had it sitting in my "to watch" folder for ages, but I've never actually had the patience to commit to it beyond trying a couple of episodes....

And pretty sure anypuddi wants the slot saved for someone else.
But then again, who cares what he thinks.
