Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu is not getting good reviews on Hummingbird, not a single one. I wonder if it is really that bad or if it's just that people are butt hurt (I am) that they didn't continue adapting the main story? It's probably the second one. I was wondering if anyone here has watched it yet and what they thought of it. I do think that starting a spin-off without finishing up the main story was a very crappy thing to do, they should give fans a conclusion.

I recall Puddi stating that it takes quite a long time to get decent. That probably turns a lot of people away.

I figured it was made by the same people that made the previous parts. It sort of makes sense that they wouldn't want to have to deal with other people's work in fear of not meeting the standard or having to carry on the legacy, if that's why they went with a spin-off instead. I'll bother watching after it's finished, but I get a strong feeling that it won't feel anything like Haruhi.

Soul Cals story works for what it is. Except V. But that game wasn't exactly finished.
When something (Night Terror) is confirmed to be the most powerful being in that universe filled with demons, vampire, genetically engineered weapons, the Greek gods, and beings like Abyss.
You don't take it out in under a minute.
Especially after taking 3 of his beams to the face.
Wanna know how much damage one of those do in Soul Calibur 3?
Around 3/4ths of your life bar.

And he was shot by 3 of them.

Regardless if Fighting games have crap story, you can't ignore it. Nor actual things from gameplay.

 

Actually I can because gameplay means jack s***. Because balance. Because people cutting eachother with swords and NOT dying after 2 slashes.

Don't ask for sense when the most powerfull being in the universe can be curbstomped in the game by any of the fighters.

Who's "they"? It's a different studio animating it, and the manga writer =/= the light novel writer.

The source material isn't very good, at least the beginning parts that I read (and which would be covered in the first episode) so I wouldn't say it's just butthurt fans causing the dislike.

I learned that after I posted, I went with the assumption that it was the same studio. You know what they say about making assumptions  

 

That's a shame, I hope it gets better as it goes on.
