To Love Ru was mentioned in Bakuman too. Lol.

But yeah, I'm not really saying there's anything wrong with Soul Eater. Sorry if you like the show and disagree with my opinion. I'm not saying it sucks. Takeshi Obata is an amazing artist though. I think I've been spoiled, and now I expect everything to look like that.

What, Love Ru? No, they talk about it. It's one of the side-characters favorites.

Just watched a couple of dbz and I realized something. To really appreciate this anime/manga (I watch the subbed version right) you really need to turn your brain off.

The dumbest thing in this show so far is without a doubt .. the power boost they get after being beat up.. This is the dumbest thing ever conceived in a manga.

The anime goes like this..

Vegeta : I can't beat him .. He's 10 time more powerful than me...
3 minutes later
Vegeta : HAHAAAA!! I gained inconceivable power because I was stabbed and HEALED !! I AM NOW THE GREATEST... HAHAHAHA!!

Me = shoot in the head.

Also for a bunch of the pretended best fighter in the universe.. They don't know how to fight or use strategy at all. They're dumber than a rock.

Not true! Remember how Cell let Vegeta beat the sh*t out of him so that Vegeta would feel extreme pity, then let him escape so that he could get more powerful, and how Goku blocked all of Cell's punches with his face so that his ribs weren't broken? :P

Nah but Seriously now  - The combat was actually decent up until the conclusion of the 23rd World Tournament, and the Saiyan Saga. The combat was dumbed down after Goku's arrival on Namek , then it took a nose dive afterwards.

I watched the OVAs of To Love Ru Darkness a while ago because they were on a sub site I like and i was bored. I haven't seen the show or the first few seasons, but the only thing I can think of that matches it as far as prevalance of over the top ecchi goes is KissxSis. Literally everything was an innuendo.

No man, this is ban worthy stuff. NSFW. But I'd still recommed the show if you don't mind excessive levels of "raunch". It's funny as hell (KissxSis I mean)

KissxSis is more hardcore than most hentai.

It's great fun to watch it with your family.

Never heard of Kiss x Sis, but with a name like that I think I'm okay just skipping that one...

Finally finished Ghost in the Shell SAC, good stuff except the dialog was a little overbearing at times. Made me think this is the Star Trek of anime with 45 minute round-table debates on interstellar diplomacy... literally a whole episode was just a conversation in a virtual chat room about the antagonist (well, kinda antagonist) of the season.

And yea Yoko Kanno is still amazing.

it's funny, my 13 y/o brother watched an episode with me once. He seemed to enjoy it even more than i did...and I don't think it was the comedy he was interested in

Kokoro Connect finally answers the question of what a teeneage boy would do if he switched bodies with a teenage girl. The funniest first episode I've seen in awhile.

I loved that show. Goes to show not all nowadays' anime with a generic setting and character roles would need to be unoriginal or boring execution -and storywise!

I stopped watching that at some point during the tourny arc, myself. What do you like about it?

Character interaction mostly, although the fights are cool. I always found Yusuke's struggle to recognize his own strength an interesting aspect and how his lack of using his emotions always seemed to keep his potential in check. Toguro's quest of trying to push Yusuke to be his equal was always a pretty good aspect of the Dark Tournament arc for me, as well as Genkai pretty much passing the torch to him completely before the final round.

Hmm I see. The interactions were neat, but some of the drawn out fights were "meh". Though there were some issues I was wondering if were resolved or not in the anime.

I'm glad the translation I found sounded less stupid.
