Geth is always serious. It's just that he uses Geth-speak. If someone mistranslates something he says, the fault lies with them.
Fluency in Geth-speak is a must have skill in today's world.

I remember when I had to use pulleys and move from room to room, start dying the string into dashed colors...

iDOLM@STER > K-On!
Then again I'm sure not many here have watched that, or even like it enough to even feel the weight of the statement. Myself it was the first anime I jumped into when I got to anime about 2 years ago.
tbh I don't like K-On! that much, it's decent, but I like Kancolle more. And Kancolle isn't that good, not bad, but not something I'll go out of my way to recommend. I actually kinda wish more people here would watch it so I can complain about it's faults to someone who'd understand.
Will reference the hell out of it though.
