Chaika's actually one I'm still kind of flippy floppy about mostly cause it seemed like the general consensus seems to be that the second season is rushed and kind of eh?

 

Understatement is an understatement. The one episode it looks like the real deal is finally starting, then the next episode the show is over.

 

 

However all that is irrelevant in the face of Red and White Chaika escaping from the underground base. Double Chaika-talk is too cute!!! Totally worth it!

The Off-model unhype is real.

Uzukis face for some reason or another gets really uncanny valley in alot of shots, and I can not for the life of me tell you why.

 

Guess that's A-1 laziness for you.

 

Otherwise, this one was somewhat better. Aside from Miku. SHUT UP YOU STUPID CAT PERSON! HATE YOU HATE YOU HATE YOU HATE YOU HATE YOU!

Anyway. The main girls are doing their first big show, so the episode is rather straight forward, training, then they do the show, with plenty of stomach butterflys to go around, which is fine, if a bit too quickly paced for my liking. But it's harmless enough, the performances are still beautifully animated, so that's at least a good thing.

 

I've taken a liking to the girl that keeps speaking Russian and the girl that makes sweets though. So that's something.

 

But otherwise I don't have alot to say.

4th installment of the Clone Vs. Cinderella Girls Saga begins now.

 

Episode 4: The Loli is horrible.

The loli is horrible. It's like if you turned Miki into a flanderized version of herself without the strive to get better, also de-aged her by like 5 years. Horrible, another one to hate. Same with her caretaker and her f***ed up lips.

 

So this one aside from that, was perfectly average. It's Rin, Uzuki, and Mio having to put together a Press Release video for Cinderella Project. Which isn't a bad set-up. It's a good framing device to allow to get to know the cast a little better.

The first episode of OG iM@S did that.

The difference though...OG has a really likeable cast. I genuinely liked all of them.

But here. Alot of them are either annoying. Or just not that memorable.

As it stands I like Rin, Anya, and Mimura.

I also kinda like the Gothic Lolita chick because of how grandiose she is. Her vocabulary and body language got a laugh out of me.

 

I dunno. It's not the worst thing in the world. But it's still not to OGs standard yet.

 

I know it's unfair to compare a Spin-off to it's original show.

But both Angel and Flash have shown it's more than possible to be as good if not better than the show they spun off from.
