Actually, it's different because witches and the familiars they disperse are manifestations of emotions, the collapsing 6th dimension of the witch into the 3 material dimensions.

Nah. I found that stupid Light spoiled my enjoyment of it a lot. Also Mika. Every scene with her in is infinitely worse for her being there. The soundtrack is pretty cool though.

Yeah, first 25 episodes were great and after that things went downhill pretty fast and it did seem like Light caught sume stupidity between episode 25 and 26.

Watched the first 3 episodes of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu. It was.... interesting.
The intro gave me alot of Fight Club vibes, mostly because of the narration and how he met Suzumiya Haruhi. Now she's a unique case. So bossy and lets not even mention all the sexual harrasment she does to Yuki 
It definitely got me hooked from the start and I'm looking forward to how its all gonna end up.
