I should sing happy birthday to the both of you.
No wait.
The Kamen Rider Amazon theme.
Yeah that's a much better song to sing.

I did it! Its finally over!
Endless Eight is over! Am I still sane? Is this the real world or are we stuck in a time loop as well hence why I had to rewatch the same episode over and over again? ![]()

Oh, it's Isi's birthday too. Yay!
I hope no one else has a birthdaytodaythisweekmonthyear. I only have so much cheer to give.
Currently weighting my sense of internet privacy with my need to screw with you ...
Can't wait for UBW S2 to start next week!
Dammit.
Goddammit Gon and Killua! If any important characters die now because of their stunt in ep99...
Oh hey an octopus just showed up in HxH.
If there's anyone who must suffer my loss of cheer, I don't mind it being you ...
Fret not, I shant miss cheer from a random blip of ones and zeros over the internet.
I will have cake instead. ![]()
Finished Chimera Ant Arc.
Well, it goes without saying that it is a brilliant arc. Not only does it manage to stand on its own in HxH, but also when it comes to anime in general. Chimera Ant arc in essence brings forward the concept of human nature, its strengths and flaws. The arc puts heavy emphasis on displaying this through various avenues, everything from philosophical to political ideas, and manages to execute all of these aspects in tandem with the narrative. The episode consist of, what 60-70 episodes? (half of the show's 148 episodes) but never did I found myself bored or that the show tried to drag on just for the sake of it. Even though certain events had a stand still wherein it came to the plot--where no real progress was actually made for several episodes--it never felt unnecessary, since the arc always wanted to convey something; be it in form of a particular theme that the show wanted to put into the limelight, characterization or simply an engaging fight sequence. That is what really amazed me with this arc, that almost everything was executed so well.
While there are plenty of reasons for why I loved this arc, what lies in the heart of it all is King, who is an exceptional character. While he isn't that effective of an adversary (I found Pitou to be more capable one, considering everything she accomplishes throughout the arc) what makes King compelling is what he represents in the story. King is easily the most human character in the whole show (alongside Gon and Killua of course) and is someone who we get to experience a plethora of aspects through. Through him we get to explore concepts of individuality, evolution, politics, loyalty, love, and much more. Through King, we get to explore both the travesty and beauty of humanity, but mostly the latter. B/c the beauty that we get to witness is in how we humans possesses the ability to grow, both as individuals and as a society. There is beauty to be find in our flaws, how imperfect we are and how we can acknowledge it and overcome it. Both humanities pros and cons are explored in the arc, and it is certainly fitting that King's true name is a nice reflection to it.
King as a character, and the arc alone, certainly lands high on my list of things that I appreciate.

Uh... can someone make an Evangelion joke about this? I feel like there's one to be made, but I can't think of it.
Why does this show insist on giving out heart attacks like candy?
At this point in the arc, I just expect the worse to happen XD

Hendrickson MVP.
Finished rereading, and the plot thickens with this chapter. Since the above mentioned trio are confirmed druids then this raises the likelihood of Elisabeth's role, and contribution to the plot being greatly expanded on. I wonder if Dreyfuss could use the purge ability too.
Plus i just caught that line about Hawk liking King's old man form. lol
Meanwhile in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Sexual harrasment and more sexual harrasment.
Seriously, how is Haruhi not arrested yet?
