If it gets a solid explanation it's not plot armor that's my opinion on things.

 

So if I character dies, and gets back up because the celestial aligment of the planets resonated with the frequency of his buttocks, that is not plot armor? Because I explained it?

 

Shirou getting THAT good in that short a time is BS, regardless of how the writer tries to explain it.

The very fact a dozen enemies decide not to kill him and that he survives everything he has IS plot armor.

He had more mana than Archer due to the business with Rin making it vastly easier to perform with less training compared to the years Archer required with his tiny amount. It was still worse than Archer's UBW, he nearly killed himself doing it and needed to get his ass saved by Archer in the end.

He had more mana than Archer due to the business with Rin making it vastly easier to perform with less training compared to the years Archer required with his tiny amount. It was still worse than Archer's UBW, he nearly killed himself doing it and needed to get his ass saved by Archer in the end.

Let's also not forget that

He witnessed Gil fighting Herc so he had already copied every weapon Gil used in that fight and during the fight with Gil, Shirou is able to copy every new sword he brings out, thus  unlmiited blades. It gets even more dangerous in UBW as Shirou no longer needs mana or needs to worry about his circuits(same with Archer in UBW) Inside UBW, Shirou and Archer are at there best, Gil is a servant and servants are ALWAYS incomplete. Put that with his constant battles with Archer and watching him fight it makes perfect sense. It is not an asspull and it's not plot armor as all of that is foreshadowed, prepared and shown as the story goes on.

 

 

Whatever you like him or not, it does not change the fact that in that situation, that person fighting Shirou in UBW put himself in a very very very bad position.

What about Shirou not dying despite Lancer and Archers attacks (yes, yes I know the explanation behind it, but I still don't like it).

Things practically align for Shirou, from a perfect ally (Rin) to him getting powers basically for freebies

Gil suffers from the fact that he isnt the true owner of any of the NP's that are in his treassury. Hence why he can't use their full power.

That's not a solid explanation. Well, it may be to you, but it's still bull*** to me.

I don't see Shirous power trip any better than the power ups Ichigo gets in Bleach. It gets an explanation there too (super-training). There's absolutely NO way you can sell to me the concept of learning in mere days what others take DECADES of dedicated constant training to master.

It's Gil. He's a cocky ****** what do you expect? "I don't need to kill these Mongrels nobody can stand before me" The others well you already know the answer them if you seriously can't accept such simple stuff I don't know how you can watch/read any fiction ever since stuff like that happens all the damn time.

Which is to mercy-kill Shirou before his ideals can betray him like his did. He could just as well had Caster only spare Rin and butcher Shirou on the spot when literally no one could have done a thing about it (Rin was exhausted and hurt from the prior fight/Archer's betrayal).

And the fact that Archer already did try to kill Shirou earlier at Ryoudou, it's not like he just decided to kill him later past that point.

 

 

But eh, enough, I already intended to let this settle in favour for less argumenting and more anime watching.
