So Kyoto Animation has announced a new anime called 'Kyoukai no Kanata' (Beyond the Horizon). Not much on it yet other than the synopsis and 30-second promotional video, but it looks rather interesting. It's throwing me off a little seeing the cutesy style animation paired with what appears to be an obviously darker plot, not that it's a bad thing mind you.

"The dark fantasy follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the boy appears human, he is half yōmu and invulnerable to wounds because he can heal quickly. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it seems she is about to jump from the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is unique even among members of the spirit world. Disturbing events begin to unfold after Akihito saves Mirai."

I'll probably give it a go.

Looks great! Though I wouldn't call it K-ON style animation. More of a semi-artsy type (Steins;Gate mixed with Tatami Galaxy maybe). Just as I love em.

It's Kyoani.

Even it's some half-a**ed garbage like Tamako Market, I'll still watch it religiously.

And yeah, I like what Kyoto is doing these days. I was going to watch 'Hyouka' next primarily for the lovely animation.

I enjoyed it, but I think they could've put more effort into the plot and made it a more interesting show. 

Kyoani's worst is still better than the majority of shows out there.

Holy **** alot of the shows airing now are pretty damn good, and the week hasn't even made its turn for all the rest of whats coming.

So far at the tippy top of my list however is
