Might as well as state something since there is currently nothing happening. I just finished Date a Live II and thought it was pretty awesome. All I have to do now is to look into extended lore, watch Shinsekai Yori, and start Ar: Tonelico Melody of Elemia on May 14th.

It's a channel I got along with HBO. I dunno if it's a constant among other cable providers.

 

I don't say this often,( to you at least ) but I disagree. I thought the plot and main villain were horrible imo.

Oh, yeah. They are.

They are atrocious.

But I think RDJ salvages a bit of it.

It's also a plot that equates to diddly squat in the overall story of the MCU.

Which makes it pointless.

Not unless the Mandarin stuff from the Hail to the King One-shot comes into play in Civil War, AoS, or one of the Netflix series.

And even then, that one-shot was on the Thor 2 Blu Ray.

Is that the Marvel thread here in Off topic? I love that thread, sadly I stopped reading the comics and graphic novels years ago so I know next to nothing about all the different story arcs they've released.

I would like to give a round of applause to Hunter x Hunter. Well done. Well done indeed. If I had more time, I would write a longer review. Suffice it to say that the show is now my number 6 on my all time favorites list.

About the ending: Well holy effing sh*t. Ging, good lord, you've surprised me. I still think you're an absolutely abysmal father, but you did send Gon off on his next adventure with the best message possible: It's not the endgame that is so important, it is the journey, relationships, and people that you meet along the way that make living life so wonderful and joyous.

 

Also, I loved how he made the point of saying that he was chasing something that was bigger than all of us could ever imagine. Call it what you will: the divine, the unknown, enlightenment, it does not matter. It all leads to something more.

 

Excellent, excellent show.

 

My all time favorite character was Killua. Killua's characterization was on point from the word go. The amount of emotional and mental development is absolutely breathtaking for me. I love his character to death, and yet I feel infinitely sad for him, because he's the kind of friend that will shoulder any burden to make another friend's load just a little bit lighter. That is something that resonates with me so much.

 

I'm so proud of you, Hunter x Hunter. Well done.

As much as I hate Ging as a person, there was something that truly, truly made me feel a connection to the *******. He mentioned that he was chasing something, something nearly unexplainable. I feel the exact same way. My whole life I feel like I have been searching for something: some hidden meaning, some deeper message, some hidden truth, that's just beyond reach. Never have I had something hit me quite like this episode did. Dear God, it truly feel like maybe I wasn't alone in that regard. That there's something out there that's just barely out of reach, something so close and yet so far. A feeling, a word even, that's on the tip of my tongue, and yet I cannot find the words.
