Destiny wasn't that bad, it was just Kira and Shinn.... if it's GSD we're talking about. Other than them I like it. Plus there's Lunamaria.

Anyway, what if Gears of war had an anime?

Destiny would have been better without the old-cast returning.  But I digress, destiny did have a great villain, and some interesting themes.

If gears of war had an anime..hmmn..I imagine it would tank. Not many western games make successful anime.

He can't tell.

He assumes.

Again, Gil was nowhere near and Gil has no expertise in projection.

Also, WTF is Shinji even doing in the castle?

Uh no he doesn't. Shirou was able to read every sword he saw from GoB and he can tell they are the real deal. He states his clearly to Rin and it is not an assumption. Again just because you don't see Gil does not mean he did not watch any fight since it is a confirmed fact that for ten years and most of the war he has been doing undercover work for himself.

There is one rule with noble phantasms, once they break, they are gone for good in the current war. Yet Archer broke 27 blades during his fight with Lancer, used the same broken phantasm on both Berserker and Caster and used a projected shield later on. All of this is imposable with real noble phantasms, that is why it's easy to deduce it is projection and thus he is a faker in Gils eyes. In Gils eyes, being a faker is worse then a mongrel. You're looking for plotholes that are simply not there. Same with why Shinji is at the castle, that is explained later.

Kira contradicts himself and Shinn is a crybaby. Other than those two I enjoyed the show and loved it.

Athrun was the one who truly deserved to be the main character.

After watching the remaster recently (in the vain hope they would fix it..of course they didn't), I think the reason shinn is seen so much as a crybaby, is because he lacked growth, and as it was leading to that moment  it was stolen by Kira/old cast. Athrun was i believe meant to be the balancing character (second main) to Shinn, as Char was to Kamille. What I loathed about Athrun in  GSD was how he more or less abandoned Cagalli, leaving her in a pool full of sharks, and then is surprised when she is manipulated into marrying that guy. -_- Lunamaria was awsome, but the whole ShinnxLuna thing was just another thing, that came out of nowhere. Bah, GSD is the only anime that has ever succeeded in equally making me love  it a lot, and pissing me off a lot. <_<

The Breaker is on my list.

Glad to see Puddi. Catch - are you Reezy or am I fumbling in conjectures?

As to Steins;Gate - I love me some mystery hunt myself, but the start didn't click with me nontheless. Even that I like a slow and weird artsy pacing doesn't help here.

But as to commend the show's quality - nonsense like a few logical flips and the eating vegetables thing didn't matter at all. It was all about some desperation and Okabe's eventually understandable madness. I like some hectic psychotic vibes in my anime. In contrast to warm traits, sharply bringing out some "human" longing.

Also, if you watch HxH, you should give the original (1999) series a go. A masterful show in my opinion, with a much different, more "gritty" feel to it.

It does not have the best arc.... Not going to bother.

Yet the Yorknew City ark is done well enough to grant you spending 30 hours on it. : )

Really really good vibes.

Really except for the Troupe, I didn't care for Yorknew that much. Killua(my fav character) hardly did anything, Gon was turned into a comedy relief character who I never felt was challenged either. Big reason I do love the An arc is what Gon and Killua go through(along with strong characters introduced)

Also, I've been enjoying Psycho Pass tremendously! It has hit all the right notes so far (certain aspects done better than GitS did), and if this keeps up I might have another anime that will get a spot in my favorite list.

Oooooh, the company that made the VN Dies Irae have launched a crowfunder for a Dies Irae anime.

Haven't read the VN myself since it's not translated but a lot of people that have read it say that it's an even better FSN so I'm curious how this will turn out.

Haven't found this to be the case at all.

Unless it does so in the end, but the concepts that it has put forward so far, both in terms of philosophical and psychological ones have worked in tandem with narrative very well.

You got no reason to even consider PP doing anything of the sort. It doesn't mess it up at the end and manage to at least keep the same quality all the way and maybe even take it a small step forward in the end.

Psycho Pass is one of those shows that I would never consider pretentious. It knows what it is doing.

Calling it pretentious despite that, I would go as far and say people don't understand what the show tries to convey.

Very well said. It's one of the most aware shows I've seen in the sense it know what it want and it do not act high and mighty conveying it to the viewer.
