I do wonder why both Been and Ufotable made what Shirou did during the UBW so different from the VN.

I guess it looks cooler having Shirou taking down each blade one at a time instead of summoning swords like Archer (of course it is up to personal taste) but it does confuse me why two version made it different.

Well whether it is cooler or not, it is quite a disservice to the source material.

 

Considering the scene was just cut so unexpectedly, hopefully the Blu Ray version has a longer (and possible even adds what the VN does) version. I doubt it will though, but it would be a nice addition.

Pretty much. Definitely the height of both series for me and then after that they just started dropping downhill.



I'm thinking I should do a small right up of LotGH for the first 2 seasons. I'm also going to be taking a short break afterwords to finish up Princess Tutu season 2 before moving onto LotGHs 3rd season.

Also my city is having its anime convention this weekend and I'm thinking if checking it out despite being disappointed with it last year. I'd probably just go right as the vendors open to avoid the rush and check out the vendors.

Also damn I'm excited for JoJo this week.

I do know it's a "fake" Grail

I really wish you would stop equating having some kind of flimsy/horrible explanation with actually having a GOOD explanation.

Same for plot.

 

The grail being fake doesn't make the story better.

You now have a bunch of mages making a fake omnipotent object/thing that does even more redicolous and impossible things..for some reason.

You know what LotGH really needs?

Lolis. They should have made Reinhard and Yang both Lolis. Not only Lolis, but Lolis with magic powers where they could fly into space and blow up entire armies with beams.

Missed opportunity if you ask me.
