The lack of a season 2 mention is disturbing...
Season 2 is good too. Mostly. It's kinda rushed and in the end it just feels like set up for the movie. Which still hasn't been subbed yet. Grumble grumble.

PP2 suffers from alot of issues. Writing to animation quality, the fact that Gen was not involved is very noticeable and season 2 even acts like season 1 didn't even happen alot (there are many times they act like this is a first when said thing happened in season 1) The list goes on.
Plus it has Mika.

If you knew Mika you wouldn't mention it either.

Tbh the biggest improvement S2 makes is that it doesn't do those garring shifts to first person anymore.

I'll take glaring first person shots over PP2 quality.

That's probably the only improvement, everything else is weaker

The second season is really saved by Akane being established as a boss in her own way. She's not a Kagami 2.0 or anything but the take charge attitude that she definitely learned from him near the end of Season 1 is there.

And ends up pulling the same stuff she pulled in season 1 for no reasons but forced drama and dragging on the poor storyline because apparently this is the first guy to ever do this to the system clearly. :/

Yeah I also liked Akane's development. Mostly.
I still haven't watched PP2 either but being someone that loved Akane's character development in S1, I'd say one of the more exciting things for me is to see more of it come 2.
I guess I'm mostly worried about wtf they did with Mika since I found the idea of her joining the team at the end of S1 was rather nice. The lack of Gen is a sticking point for me but I'm more than willing to give the PP team a chance to show their skills in the same way Shinbo was responsible for the point I hnnnngh far too much over in Rebellion.
Watched the first episode of Katanagatari, and well, quite good, yes, interesting.
So did it really take a year to have the whole series release? That's pretty interesting.

Yep. One month per LN and 1 episode per month too. A month also passes each episode too.
So Demo did a thing again.
But I think he's slowly going insane.
I shall go watch.
He didn't watch Gintama or UBW, so it's not like he's talking about anything relevant.
And it's not like he's saying anything that makes me interested enough to pursue anything new like Nanana last year.
Well I don't think he's watched Zero or Gintama yet so that makes sense. Made me want try Punchline. Knowingly stupid shows are always fun.
I approve of Demo approving of Oregairu!
Did they ever continue making No Game No Life?
Done with Kyousougiga TV and had a far more enjoyable time with it than I initially expected that I would and far more than I thought was possible with a show that is as short as 10 episodes that are 25 min long. Was very interested in seeing just how they would tackle that fact and they more than surpassed my expectations in that area. The pacing is very high but it doesn't feel rushed and instead manage to be appropriate for the kind of story and setting that everything take place in. The setting that it all take place in is one of the more interesting ones that I've watched so far and as I was told more and more things became increasingly more interesting and enjoyable to watch. The show use several buddhist beliefs and ideas which once I started to spot them further made the show interesting and lended it some good credit by choosing some very good parts of the buddhist religion. Now with the show being as short as it is there're never much time to deeply explore these things which is a shame but understandable given the time constraints. Perhaps it will educate a few people that will want to learn more and find better places to study the subjects that the show touch upon. While having all these interesting subjects within itself the show is very outrageous with over the top things constantly happening and you will absolutely not find "muuuuh realizm" when watching this show. It laughs at the concept of it and it does it well!
The show got some very quirky and interesting characters and it manages to flesh out and develop the most essential ones while leaving the side characters underdeveloped, once again due to the time constraints and the creators choosing to focus on other parts of the show which I'd say was the right choice. The characters help moving the plot forward and end up in situations that may make the viewer ask themself certain questions or just make the viewer chuckle.
The show is very artistic and got some absolutely beautiful artwork and creative designs which made it completely impossible to be bored of what kept showing up on screen since the variety was as massive as it was. Some very clever character design that the creators really should be patted on the back for! The OST is really good with several very memorable tracks and I can absolutely see myself listening to them in an average day.
If you're a fan of the stuff mentioned above, give Kyousougiga TV a shot! If you're not then that's fine since it's a very special show

Now to finish up Aria: The Natural
I never really watched or played any anime or anime games. But I recently just finished Valkyria Chronicles and I have lost track of how many times the game annoyed me and drove me up the wall. (Doesn't help the English voice acting deliveries were quite awkward).
THAT SAID: There were so many tiny bits and pieces in the game that I really enjoyed. Especially the end-credits bit with
Since this is an anime thread, I was wondering if anyone else knows any other anime that does something like this (or better)? I tried looking before but I often get stuff that includes waaaay too much bikinis and other nonsense.

Did they ever continue making No Game No Life?
No. Unfortunately.
Aria the Natural is just as relaxing and calming as the first season was but with almost everything else taken one step forward and improved. Found it to be a great show to watch late at night for best effect and later a better result when trying to sleep.

Not sure if you've finished Aria the Natural yet, but when you're ready to go on with the series, don't forget the OVA, Arietta, that comes between "the Natural" and "the Origination".
