Anyway so yeah... wanna get this out the way.
Anime/manga I've been looking at.
ANIME:
1. Yawara!
First of Naoki Urusawa's works, it's about judo. I can write why it's a good sports manga and why it gets on my nerves but if you're a hard-core romance shipper like I am just don't bother.
The manga isn't fully translated and you can't buy it in english.
The anime adapts up to before she goes to the Olympics and there's a special for that but it ends in the most BS way possible.
Like... four more minutes to how it REALLY ends and it'd be fine, but nah man. Just don't bother with this.
It's good, with a mature sense of humour that you don't really find in a lot of mangas but you're gonna get left hanging.

And Yawara is a frickin' babe.
2. Kids on the Slope.
Another Shiricho Watanabe anime that follows similar themes to all his works. It's a short, 12 episode slice of life that centres its themes around music and jazz. It's pretty great stuff. So if you want a short anime to watch, then there you go.
The MC annoyed me a little, but that's personal, nothing I can say that really can punch a huge hole in the writing. It's solid.
The animation is what's to be expected from a Watanabe production

3. Shirobako.
Like I said before, it's good. Efficiently manages a huge cast of characters wherein some grow more than others and all are useful in their own way. It's the Bakuman of anime without the focus on personal relationships and the whole shounen stuff that you'd expect to find from comics published in Shounen Jump. What I find funny is that though the anime is brilliant the stuff they're making is anime I wouldn't touch with a 100 foot pole.
Aerial Girls? lolno
Don't let the adorable main female cast with the most adorable faces in the world fool you into thinking it's some moeshit anime.

4.The Big O
Got to this because Puddi likes it and Puddi has good taste. Well, it has a lot of redeemable qualities that make it worth the watch and the art style is so reminiscent to Batman it's pretty hard to hate it, even if it goes waaaay out of tune and becomes some mix between Evangelion and Kingdom Hearts at the end.
So yeah, watch it, it's pretty damn fun even though it ends with a whimper.

Roger Smith is based anime Batman cousin
Sh*t OP tho'
5. Tsukimonogatari.
What can I say? It's a Monogatari anime, overall they're all pretty great.

6. HxH movies
Hahaha lol. Hisoka was great tho'

7. Barakamon
9/10. It knows what it wants to say, simple but important messages, doesn't stretch itself out too thin and the cast are all loveable. Could have watched another 12 episodes if there were any more to watch.
I saw some inkling of development from Blonde dude but I'm glad they pulled out of that one. All that anime really needed was one character with significant growth and the rest of the cast to be strong and support the developments made.

8. Tori No Seki Kun
Isi recommend this one. Hah it's a fun lil' anime, go watch for a time-killer.
Awesome ending
9. I can't understand what my Husband is saying
Hahah this anime is just great fun. Too bad it ain't a full-time thing.

10. Arslan Senki
Yeah so I left this for last because I gotta say I'm really impressed at where it's going in comparison to the films. Everybody and their dogs know I don't like films all that much since they end before I can give a damn about anything and anyone, so the same rules apply here.
I just wonder where it's going to go though.
It's running at 24 episodes according to MAL and it's sure to catch up with the Manga by then.
Himoru Arakawa is having some troubles of her own and the poor woman can't draw as much as she wants to, not to mention Arslan Senki is a monthly thing and only 20 pages a piece.
I hope she just gave them scripts to work with.

MANGA:
Mostly everything I've been reading is Naoki Urusawa's stuff. I'll be spammin' on about 20th Century boys but do make sure to read Pluto as well.
Seriously, he's become my favourite mangaka before Miura and his writing is always top-game.
Also started reading Yu Yu Hakoshu but I prefer Hunter x Hunter by miles. It's good, don't get me wrong, ever since that scenario it's been 'defeat 3 bad guys' and then 'defeat another 3 bad guys' and now it's another tournament.
So Yeah!
NAOKI URUSAWA'S STUFF
READ IT.
Suda lala Guda lalala
