Eeeeeeehhhh....... it's...complicated.

 

I like the world setting, the premise/idea, most of the characters and the visual design (in the first SS, Asgard & Poseidon arcs and Lost Canvas). The art style become progressively worse after that.

SS movies are UTTER GARBAGE, the last SS series (SS: Omega) is also garbage, but has a few good bits.

The MC in all series is horrible.
Some of the plot and tropes are played horribly, others are OK.

 

It's one of the better shonen series out there IMHO, but that isn't saying much.

 

So, if you want to watch:

 

SS (original series) - two really bad short bits early on: Steel Saint and Black Saints

SS: Asgard Saga

SS: Poseidon saga

 

SS: Sanctuary (good), Hades (OK), Eylision (ugh, but it's the final part of the whole Hades arc)

 

SS: Lost Canvas

 

Avoid everything else
