Fate is fine in the aggregate but I've never had any real reason to prefer any particular aspect of the franchise or route over the other. Aprocrypha? Night? Heaven's Feel? Deen? Ufotable? All these things keep fluctuating but honestly it's all the same thing, you like one aspect you'll probably like the others and vice versa.

Honestly for me I feel like I'm in Nasu-verse or I'm not, like, it's the darky-nobly-vampirey-sword-mythological-hero-dating-sim world of his. Maybe sometimes characters die, or get turned into demons, or are saved, or nothing happens, or everything happens, but overall it's all kinda Pasta Minestrone to me, just with different sauces or flavorings.
