The plot kind of fell apart and the characters started doing alot of nonsensical stuff.
Then again It has been almost 7 years since I've seen it, maybe it wasn't as bad as I remember it being.

Some of you may have knowledge of this already, but regardless the creative team behind Gurenn Lagann has reunited to work on a brand new anime series.
TTGL's writer and animator? Definitely intrigued for that reason alone, though it wasn't enough to get me to watch Panty and Stocking. This one looks interesting though.
Further details; MAL's synopsis at this point is...
"The story centers around two fiercely fighting schoolgirls, Ryuuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuuin. On a campus ruled by force, a transfer student wielding a Basami sword brings about upheaval."

Just saw the fifteenth episode from Ergo Proxy ... what the hell did I just watch?
I had the same reaction. I didn't like the mind screwing that much. I personally thought episodes 5-14 were the best in the series. It's gonna get worse.
So says the guy who dislikes shonen and begins to prefer "seinin".
(it's *seinen*)
(oh, and I all in all agree. the part where they were in the desert *and* the teleshow were the best... ending went a bit all over the place anywhere and everywhere - though at least it isn't ashamed of pretentiousness as most western shows are...)

I always get the mispelling wrong. But yeah I felt Ergo Proxy would have been better had they'd focus more on proxies and less mindscrewing.
Shonen is okay. I like brotherhood and hunter x hunter 2011 but seinen is superior in my opinion

@Seraph - Well, I always say it's not *they* who screw with your mind, it's you who feels screwed.

Actually I don't feel screwed. Therefore, that quote does not apply to me.

When willl Detective Conan gonna end? It's dragging on for too long already. I'm not sure if the mangaka just want to milk the series forever.

Hard to say, at this point it could end anytime it wants. Most Shonen Sunday manga are not giant hits or anything. So the editors might want to keep it for a few more years.

Well, maybe not the manga itself, but Detective Conan movies are consistently in the top ten box office in Japan. As much as I like Detective Conan, there is a point where every case become pointless. They need to focus more on the main storyline at this point. The black organization is rarely being mentioned now. Hopefully, with the new development, the storyline would reach a conclusion soon.
I wish Claymore would become a weekly series, the development is getting intense. Do people read that manga? It's one of my favorites at the moment.

edit: to be more serious about my comment - well, the idea is that it's hard to call the creators of a show to be screqing with the minds of viewers. I've never understood it at least. The viewers watch, then processes happen in their brain, then they feel the show did something unpleasant to them. Second scenario: all's same only it's not unpleasant. Third: the viewer either find something of interest, or he doesn't. One's headache has nothing to do with it.
I'm more of a type who feels that I must do something special in order to be fazed by a show. Like up my anger or pretentiousness or attentiveness or something. But an ideal viewing is one where that simply doesn't happen. The creators of the show certainly don't want something as extreme to happen as to make the viewer feel "****ed" in the mind...
