You guys don't seem mega pervy to me to be honest, in my experience people who are up front about their perviness rate rather low overall to the population generally, not to mention it is a sublimely rare person that starts to have basically no deviancies whatsoever.

So the 2nd Gintama movie is kinda based. It's the best of Gintama taken a few steps further and given some even better treatment in movie form. I can only say it's really, really awesome.

Anyway I hoped you liked Gintama, and whether you liked it as much as me or whatever, it's still one hell of an experience.

 

It is a fantastic movie.

And I like it way more as an ending than the overly long Shogun Assassination arc in the manga.

That's a rare statement.

I like Nepgear.

She's great. But the anime doesn't show the best things about her.

Personally I think at this point it's running 10 chapters too long.

 

And every 2nd chapter is saying it's the "Climax" of the arc

It's just like, come on. End already.

He's not going to go back to gag as far as I can tell, it's been 40 chapters of nothing but serious arcs.

He's tying up a bunch of plot threads. Gin's past, Sasaki's motives, Nobume's past, Takagusi, The Shinsengumi's origins and is now fleshing up Oboro as something more than just a 'big bad.'

 

Lots of important stuff.

 

All of it that would have been left unanswered by the movie.

 

Not saying the movie is bad, or whatever. It's just that it really isn't the send off you'd expect from a manga that's stretched its "main plot" through so long in its serialisation.

 

lol it doesn't do anything for Takagusi, Kagura's brother or any of the above I've mentioned. So as an ending, it doesn't really do much other than being totally frickin' awesome and super emotional.

 

ETA: But to give credit where it's due, Sorachi did find a way to wrap up Gintama and leave it open enough for new possibilities. So A++ on your story-telling, Gorilla-san.

I doubt I'll ever love Gintama like you bro but it's been an interesting ride for sure with ups and downs. Some top quality arcs and some periods where I'm uncertain if what I watched was legal to release. Did of course hear based OP, so based!

Cool, peeps be talking Gintama. I just finished episode 105, I got a little misty eyed( yeah, I'm a wimp ). It will always be one of my favorites however, I can understand the complaints about it. Let's face it there are large gaps that don't really move the story along. But, I do enjoy the gags, humor and the crazy dysfunctional but loving relationship between Gin, Kagura and Shin.

I also love how Gin, someone who was a Samurai and a follower of Bushido grew to hate it and see it as a waste of life. But, I also love sappy life lessons like that.

I wouldn't say it's the greatest but, to be honest I've yet to find any anime deserving of a title like that. I watch Gintama because I love the characters(Gin, Kagura and Shin ), the goofball humor and those rare moments where Gin hands out @ss beatings.

I actually didn't like Gintama when you first recommended it but, it grew on me and now I adore it. So, while it's not the best is it? It's probably the best I've watched( in terms of fun factor, characters and enjoyment ). But that's just my opinion, I rate it at a 9/10.
