I may be wrong, but wouldn't an archer character make more sense if he wasn't actually seen in the battle. Instead, he would be sniping the competition from a safe distance. Makes more sense to me.

I haven't even watched the new UBW yet....
I'm 3 episodes behind and just getting caught up now.
At least now I know one other character that gets knocked off the show. Thanks Clones. Cause a spoiler tab is really hard to use... ![]()

Not a good thing for an adaption, obviously.
Lord of the Rings would like to have a word with you.
Joking aside, yeah don't know why Ufotable are making these changes. But arguments like that it is sh*t (not meaning you here) just makes me lolz.

I do hope it was just an accident. I'm more annoyed by how many times there have been spoilers about this series posted in this thread X3 (not necessarily by you mind you, just in general)

Oh wow, UBW is still getting worse?
I already said it, but damn am I glad I dropped watching it.
UBW isn't even close to being a dropable anime this season compared to the amount of **** out right now.

Implying that people who read the books may not have thought the same about the movies.
Not even touching the subject of The Hobbit. Not nearly enough Beorn in the movies!

Evidently it is, since I did. Call me picky if you like.

Fellowship and Two Towers where still a fantastic adaption, Return of the King can screw off.
There's a difference between fantastic competent adaptions, and horrible adaptions that lack the spirit of the series (which is what DEENS Fate and Ufotables UBW are.)

Of course there are. There is always someone complaining. Yet LOTR is regarded as a pillar in movie making, despite being a "terribad" adaptation.
Not saying UBW is the same quality as LOTR when it comes to anime, but a bad adaptation =/= bad show.

Just finished watching Avatar The Last Airbender.
I heard there is a spin off cartoon series. It's called The Legend of Korra.
Is it anyway near as awesome as Avatar The Last Airbender?

That would probably be Legend of Korra. Not as great as ATLA, but still good.

Depends. If people are watching the show because it's an adaption of something they like and it turns out to be a bad adaption, then it's likewise a bad show. If an adaption is only really appreciable if you aren't biased by the base material, then it's bad at what it does, being an adaption. Might aswell put a "based on" disclaimer on it.
But as I've said, onto more enjoyable things (for me at least): martial-tea-ceremony anyone?

Yeah, Legend of Korra. It suffered from the short story arcs, but I still liked it.

No they weren't. The plot, while having same structure, is disjointed from the books, wherein certain events happen at different times during different places in a lot of scenes. Certain characters, most prominently Aragorn, Elrond and Gandalf were substantially altered from the books. Aragorn for example, is a badass in the movies, but lacks a lot of depth that the books touched upon and why he truly was the King to be, not just of being the heir. Glorifindel and Bombadil are never mentioned. And several plot threads were missing.
Two Towers was worse, since it changed and/or removed character development, major plot elements, which carried into return of the King. And don't get me started on themes being different from movies and books.

I really enjoyed The Last Airbender.
It had great characters and great story.
The universe was also awesome which helped.
I also love the creative ways in which the powers were used.
Might check out Legend of Korra.
