Dragon Ball ... I find that Turtle Hermit gross and slap-worthy! Other than that other characters are interesting. That pig is a good lulz material for the series!

some geth, I'm sure you're an intelligent fellow, but you are incredibly ignorant and/or ill-informed on biology/zooology. Lions do not crap on hyenas out of spite and dolphins are not as intelligent as human beings and most certainly not more intelligent. xD

I like Gantz. I like Attack of Titans. I'm not just going to stop reading/watching any or either of them just because the manga-ka's do not like each other or insult each other.

I like Gantz. I like Attack of Titans. I'm not just going to stop reading/watching any or either of them just because the manga-ka's do not like each other or insult each other.

It was only Oku slinging insults, showing everyone that he has terrible comprehension skills or is a social troglodyte (my theory) . Despite my issues with the manga's writing it's cool that you enjoy it.

IQ is a bunch of BS designed to make people feel better about themselves.

It all hinges on approaching a pre-established problem from a pre-established angle.
Not to mention that scores are all over if you take multipe tests.
I had a range of more than 30 points difference across several tests.. from 120 to almost 160. That's a HUGE points difference.

I mean I suspected there was going to be some kind of link between the whale squid and the hideauze, and that Ledo's suspicions weren't just  military instinct... but omg you're right there's no way I saw this coming. It's so awful and creepy, and the interesting thing being the human race is still in a way fighting against itself.

OMG a-and then the humanoid one at the end! Chamber! And Ledo's scream was so gut-wrenching. I couldn't watch Yahari's new ep after that for about half an hour. That episode needed time to settle in... even now I'm still like WOAH.

Guys there's going to be an anime about shirtlessness swimming called 'Free'. I've known about it for a while but I thought I'd share it anyway. Not that it really seems like something many of you would watch. Anyway, it's based on this animation preview by Kyoto Animation (they tend to do these teaser things every so often) and was so popular for the first time they're making it into an anime.

Yeah, you ahould have seen the uproar/gleeful expulsions on MAL when swimming anime was actuqlly announced. Kyoani has high expectations to meet for that one, but the art looks insane at the very least. And ermagerd that music was fresh.

 Haha I bet. Always a fan of Kyoani's style of work though, so I'm pretty interested to see how it turns out.

I have a feeling the main guy will be like, the equivalent of a colony queen or something (if he isn't already dead. Seems unlikely he would be), maybe even the large hideauze who's in control of the others. I feel so bad for Ledo, coming across all that confronting information and having to deal with it. Completely new territory for someone who's used to following orders. The look on face on his face when he's destroying the lavae, and again when Chamber acts out you can tell he's conflicted. He really has grown so much from his time on Gargantia.

Ikr? Wonder what Ledo will do going forward. I just hope Chamber doesn't betray him/get destroyed. I'd have a sad.

This show definitely needs a second season. When the manga gets more material (it only started in January) hopefully we'll get more episodes, cause this is a great series.

Yeah I know what you mean. I guess at the end of the day, although highly advanced he is still a form of artificial intelligence. Whether this will mean he's coded to follow strict orders of annihilation, follow his pilots/Ledo's wishes or be able to think for himself... I'm not really too sure. Either way, there will be some big results. I really hope he will stick with Ledo though and follow his wishes.... I'll have a sad too otherwise ;-;

Definitely. 13 episodes seems like far too few especially with the latest plot development. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. It really is amazing.

Luc, first of all most animals do think, show compassion, get attached and form bonds with one another. If you have a pet dog and a pet cat at the same time, a crazy bond can form between them where they share food, or sleep together.

Every dog doesn't have the same personality, likes or dislikes. Some dogs are lazy, some dogs are overly excited or nervous.  

Insects, fish, and most amphibians don't, but most mammals and birds DO in fact, think and learn. Lions can get used to their trainers and will hug them, people swim with KILLER WHALES, there's no instinct involved in that. It's emotion. You think those animals don't understand what they're doing?  

Try fake throwing a ball at your dog three times in a row and see what happens.

This bear guy incident happened in real life, where a man stayed with a group of bears for like 3 weeks just fine and then went home, brought his wife and then they got eaten. Oh.. but suddenly it's the people's fault for trying to form a bond with bears? They were trying to do the exact opposite of what these Gantz aliens say and form a bond, and the bears retaliated. 

Animals (ESPECIALLY MAMMALS) do have emotion, and the capability to understand. They may just choose not too because they don't care.  

It's not like humans haven't done that in the past.

I must comment. 1. To say a lion thinks per se is faulty. 2. "being above us" is regardless a very complex notion, not possible. 3. however, no healthy lion tries to hunt down humans (nor other animals lest for hunger) - but humans do have the "oh, animals don't need to be respected, and slaughtering them is perfectly normal if the opposite wouldn't be of use to us"...

Oh, and another thing - the bear guy was quite crazy in the head. Didn't respect a bear's difference and autharchy.
