Been reading it myself and yeah just going off that anime picture it does looked they made the art style more "anime" but I will wait to actually see a few episodes before I really judge it.

Parasyte at first got some hate for the anime update look but the show pulled it off and having Haruhi as Migi is what really sold it as a otaku pandering piece of crap great show

 

As for this they could still end up doing the series with it's tone intact perfectly.

 

Or it will just be made into a horrible otaku fanservice show.

Guys, Parasyte was done by Madhouse. If there was any anime studio that was going to give a manga that ended in 1995 a modern adaptation and keep the tone intact, it's Madhouse.

 

They're doing the One-Punch Man adaptation too and I expect nothing else but them acing it.

Btw, another manga that I'm really enjoying these days is Mahou Tsukai no Yome, or "Ancient Magus' Bride"

It's a pretty great love story in a setting based around British folklore and it's properly fleshed out...

...also the male protagonist in this romance is a skeletonman with a ton of swagger.

NOPE. Aside from the one time when he wears a magical human mask that looks really fake from the side, he's an inhuman monster with potentially unholy powers. He's really kind and charming though, the girl has already given him the "I want babies" look once.

I re-watched Evangelion of all the things, so many strange things and yet so many impressive ones at the same time. X number of years later still more fun than 99.75% of anime.

 

As a complete aside I keep looking at No Game No Life funny, keep dropping it but keep seeing it's popularity.. wonder if it changes halfway like Stein's Gate and becomes more exciting or something.

No Game No LIfe is good because of the games that happen during the show, not the characters or the story. It's just a pure entertainment show.

NGNL keep the same attitude and style from start to finish and that's very appreciated. Wouldn't mind giving it a rewatch one day.

Hey, not Anime, but Bruce Timm is doing some DC stuff to promote the next Animated film. Pretty cash. Particularly the Superman one.

Yup, the studio nailed it with how they handled the games and just gave high quality entertainment and there's nothing wrong with that. I rather a studio deliver on good entertainment then try to do something they can;t and just create a failure.

I like that as an idea generally, see so much stuff where I think this isn't what they're good at it or best at it but try to make force it anyway, don't mind the honest thing nearly so much most of the time. Maybe that's what I was sensing from it.
