Neptunia rocks my socks yo. I'm watching the Blu-Ray right now.

After I get my Library Refund I'm grabbing a Vita TV and the Neps that work on it.

Actually the writing is great, the characters are distinct from each other instead of walking fetishes like what you'd expect from the artstyle or looking at the cast. The parody of the gaming industry is great, and the humour is top notch, as well as taking the ****** out of everything, including itself.

 

I wouldn't be such a fan of it if it was boring or cliche or even just good. I watch and play the games because they are great, but if you don't want to acknowledge that it's fine.

I was playing Re;birth(going for the normal end) and Blanc and Vert using sex appeal at Lastation never gets old.

Well my Cat's infection is going away, so yeah.

 

It's a funny series with a completely stupid premise, yet somehow it works. The comedy is really good, and the references to gaming culture overall is really solid.

The main cast are very cute and likeable. And the gameplay of Victory onward is the only Turnbased RPG I can stand playing. It's button mash-y as ****. But at least it's tolerable.

Also, from a design aspect, the artstyle and general look of everything is really good. Nice and Vibrant.

Fantastic cast, enjoyable main stories(stories don't have to be deep or anything to be enjoyable afterall),lots of references to gaming and anime, fantastic comedy and purposely using cliches and then making fun of them.

Well I appreciate the answers nonetheless. Still can't shake the feeling the "cute girls" aspect is the main draw mind you, even if the game itself is decent, but I won't judge that too harshly without having played it.

SAO is somewhat serious, it's actually not totally dissimilar from AoT in that sense. The thing is though it's sorta similar same kind of thing kind of a cheesy tone but it's why it's popular as a break from the kind of everything's just a joke kind of anime. Again not a top or 20 kind of thing though (well or 30... or.. I don't know)

 

It reminds me more of an actual MMO or game instead of anime I suppose as a consequence.
