Like this change does fix some eyebrow raising stuff from the VN and will make some things feel less of an asspull(you know what I'm talking about ), but it also creates some big questions that need to be filled and it was just overall done poorly. Good idea, poor execution.

 

Check Beast Lair for reactions Angle. It's faaaaaaaaar better then MAL/HB.

If they change it and only let Archer save Shirou from Gil at the end then yeah they fix the whole mana issue. Still kind of weird if Shirou would end just pulling Rho Auis out of his ass.

If Ufotable didn't screw up massive parts, did massive padding, too many flashbacks, alot of unneeded talking to drag on the fight and completely pissed on a character who's only moment to shine in the whole VN was this last part in the route, then I would not be complaining. Like ffs

Ufotable took a massive **** on Assassin just so Gil could have new uneeded dialog that did nothing but drag on this fight and the flashbacks that again do nothing.  HF is not going to fix this either. This was Ufotables chance with Assassin to have him go out with a bang just like int he VN and they screwed up hard.
