I honestly prefer the moive UBW activation.

 

Shirous chant is horrible and too long, and the way the movie did it was better. It mashed better with the talking.

True, but it's ACTIVATION was better.

 

Also, I'm also in the camp that thinks Shirou should have never been able to beat Gil.

- Shirou should have never had access to the UWB.

 

- Gil is a servant, and thus faster/stronger than a normal human. Gilgamesh was also a pierless warrior in the legends. Thus, crossing swords seems wrong. Out-spamming Gil makes more sense.
