Can the protagonist properly handle an AK-47? It's **** otherwise.

 

As for that requirement, it has lessened in Action genre. I would still prefer guns, but as long as the weapon makes some sense, I will go with it.(aka no fishing poles)

 

Also, Ak-47s or the new ones they use today suck. They are not accurate at all. Yes, they hit hard, but the inaccuracy nullifies it.

I can accept that cards could have magical properties. It's just hard to wrap my head around a fishing pole being a weapon because. I don't know. It's just hard.

 

 

Since you brought it up again, I should point out that aside from what I already mentioned about him fishing up a whale with it, the battle system that you probably haven't even gotten to yet could hypothetically make a fishing pole a perfectly viable weapon.

You have people using chains, playing cards, yo-yos, and giant smoking pipes as weapons. Because the magic system makes conventional weapons quaint and obsolete for the most part. (with one big exception) It's all about what the character can use to draw out their unique abilities best.

 

I get that, and you are right. A show is supposed to catch you into right away, and that part turned me off. I don't why, but it just does.

FMAB turned me off the moment Edward started doing those goofy faces and those little comedy segments came up like this

 

 

Now it's my second favourite anime of all time and I've watched it 6 times.

 

I didn't even like the first three episodes and wasn't really that into it until Ling showed up.

 

So it's kind of disappointing when based anime like HxH gets turned down cos you can't take a fishing pole seriously.
