Question, does Gil have any defensive Noble Phantasms? Other than Enkidu.
Yes. He has divine protection that would protect him from Gae bolg and a multidimensional shield for Assassins NP. Those are just the known ones. Plus he has his golden armor that was able to take a crap tone of hits from Excalibur and Caliburn before it started to crack and protects him from alot of high magic.
His golden armor is the same armor he wore when Enkidu and him fought Humbaba.

Multidimensional shield? Good grief, which legend does that NP end up becoming? Also does it stand to reason that he might a hold a prototype of Rho Ais?

The multidimensional shield is a very sore subject with TM fans, as alot including me find it a complete asspull that simply exists so he can have a one up over Assassin when in reality there should be no counter or protection from it. ![]()
I also would not be surprised if his divine protection is in fact the prototype to Rho Ais.

He's bound to have Rho Ais and other defensive NP's then

Interesting. Why would they feel the need to do that though? Shirou already has a way to one up him. Why would it be a big deal if Assassin's abilities were able hurt him too? It's kinda odd.The multidimensional shield is a very sore subject with TM fans, as alot including me find it a complete asspull that simply exists so he can have a one up over Assassin when in reality there should be no counter or protection from it.

And also pretty cool. I would guess that Gil's version of Rho Ais would be basic concept of "the shield" that led to the other defensive noble Phantasms within legend. At the end of the day though, I gues Gil would never really feel the need to utilize such a shield, cause he trusts Enkidu's capabilities entirely.

Doesnt Gil possess every NP thats out there?

It was alot more balanced at first, but then it bloated overt he years and Zero and CCC made it waaaay to OP to the point where Nasu and Gil being married is a in joke in the fanbase.
The thing is this, Gil should have no protection from Tsubame because it is not a NP, it was a skill that is only associated with the stories of Kojirou. So yes Gil having a shield for it is a giant asspull that was clearly made up because Nasu didn't want Assassin to trump Gil.

Well, not the Phantasms themselves technically (House correct me if I'm wrong). I thought that he simply has the original weapons (and shields) that led to Noble Phantasms used by Heroic Spirits.Doesnt Gil possess every NP thats out there?
He's bound to have Rho Ais and other defensive NP's then
However, what I understand is that he doesn't use their abilities to full capacity, minus a few exceptions. He simply utilizes them mostly as his arrows.
I would hazard to say that maybe the Heroic Spirits are what truly endowed the weapons with their unimaginable power. Take Saber for example. Gil may have Excaliburs prototype, but neither do you see him shooting off high level magic like Saber can.

It's because of who Fake Assassin is. Sasaki Kojirou is not a real person, he was a made up person that was implanted into many legends to make said heroes better. Gil should have no counter or projection from a skill that was created by a made up person. (every proper heroic spirit/counter guardian in the nasuverse was a real person)

It's not like Gil even needs a dimensional shield to defeat Assasin to begin with.
Assasin is bound to the temple. Gil could easily open 64 gates and bomb the guy.

You are correct! Gil cant fully use their powers because he isnt the true owner.

You are semi correct. What Gil has is every prototype and the model of every weapon. For example, Gil does not have Caliburn, but he has Gram which is the prototype for Caliburn. His spear that is the prototype for Gae bolg does not have the abilities that Cu can use because they where created by Cu ect.
You are correct! Gil cant fully use their powers because he isnt the true owner.
False in fact. Kid Gil can use the true abilities of 99% of his weapons(weapons like Gae Bolg being the exception) That's because Kid Gil and adult Gil are two different characters now because of the drastic change in the poem between how he was as a kid and adult.

Yup, but someone decided to bring up a question. What if Gil made a mistake and got too close, then Nasu was like MULTIDIMENSIONAL SHIELD! and then many people went

It is something I'm interested in don't get me wrong but time is so limited and I get sidetracked too easily off longer things.
We'll see though.
